Chelsea F.C [2007-2008] Thread

The Chelsea fans were clearly on Jose Mourinho's side. That was clear with the numerous banners praising him. And when the Jose Mourinho chant started being called mid way through the first half. You could see them boo'ing him at full time. I'll stop posting here for the time being though, anything I comment on will only seem like I'm rubbing the situation in.

well, it was going on well decently until a wanker named Mike Dean started running the show....the f***ing referee was THE man of the match IMO....I know from where he was it probably looked like a "dangerous studs showing tackle" by Mikel, but what pissed me is that he seemed very confident about the tackle being a straight red and didn't even bother to consult the linesman.....and wtf was wrong with his watch, it was way past added time when Tevez scored(now i know how Barca fans feel).......and to top it off, a dubious penalty for Utd(maybe it was, but Saha definitely took lessons from Ronaldo, seeing how proud his mate (Ronaldo) was).....

I was watching the game with my mates, most of them Gunners and Fulham fans....they all agreed that the game was ruined because of the sending off by that f***ing wanker named Mike Dean.......

Coaching wise, i'd prefer seeing Alex and Belletti over Ben Haim(sluggish at times) and Paulo(played well)...........
It was Stevie Clarke doing most of the shouting, Avram looked shy and i don't understand why, he's coached before.........

For us, its time to stick together as a team and we need to get back on track as quickly as possible starting with the next game against Hull......

I'm thinkin a poor result like a draw against Hull would be enough to get Abrahimovich to step up the search for a new mananager. I wouldn't mind Deschamps at all. He could really use the current team we have well.

as much as i dislike Avram as coach, we're stuck with him for the coming months, so for the club's sake we've got to give him our support......

when the time comes then we could talk about potential replacement coaches, we're not the tabloids, its their job to come up with lies and speculations, we're fans, so focus on giving support on the club in the upcoming match against Hull............

Mike DEAN completely ruined the game, the red card and the damn penalty. lets Give the stupid Grant in order a couple weeks to judge him fairly ( i never will cuz i jsut dislike him, any other manager im fine with) , but BEN HAIM over ALEX you gotta be kidding me, Alex is a master in defending set peices and that Tevez goal seem Ben Haim got a little sluggish and cant forget Mike Deans little retarded call.. cant get overworked from this result tho, i mean a chelsea legend left few days ago so it'll take time for hte players to regain thier full confidence and buying into Grants system. Personally i think this season is all about qualifications for the C.L and anything other than that is a bonus. Roman definitley planning for next year with reports sayin Kaka and Ronaldhino... Kaka wont come im sure of it. And if Ronaldhino comes then wat happens to Joe cole and malouda. Ronaldhino is at his best on the left side.. but right now its all speculation. I think Grants choice with Ferria wasnt bad, Ashle Cole is one of the few who can guard Ronaldo and with Ferrira , he can guard Ronaldo pretty good too , since they jhave experience with each other for the NT, so if Ronaldo switched to the right jsut in case Cole was giving him problemss , it wouldnt matter cuzz of Ferriras ability to defend Ronaldo as well.
but Pede summed it up Dean 2 - Chelsea 0 . jokes. This Dean guy needs to get the boot. 14 reds in last 20 outings, and 4 reds in the lat 5 , FA need to stop this guys recklessness

The prosing thing is this, maybe I'm wrong:

we handed the game to Man Untd and they still had difficulties. I know they weren't trying to win it 3 or 4-0 but even before Mikel got the card. And the two goals they scored, one got in because of some poor marking by Ben Haim and the other was a penalty because of a dive (and again partly Ben Haim's fault).

Thing is, when our team is in better shape, whether it be in 4 months or next year, I don't expect to see problems like this. I also expect to see a more poised side in attack than what we have right now. Man Untd probably won't improve any more than this. So what I'm saying is that we can handle whatever they throw at us once the team is in order.

United are nowhere near top gear yet. You only have to look at last season to see that, and now with the likes of Tevez, Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson added, United will be even better than that when they do hit top gear.

Well said matey. Even that pen at the end Saha fell like an extra from Platoon! I've never rated Dean as a ref and today's performance was yet another in a long catalogue of disasters, Mikel's tackle was a yellow card for definite, and what really took the mick was Cole's reckless tackle from behind was a lot worse and only warranted a yellow.

Very harsh penalty indeed. Mikel should not have been sent off but Joe Cole should have - but perhaps the result may have not been the same by that time.

Ben Hiem is just not Chelsea quality.

And did Van Der Sar make a save at all? Plenty of time to turn things around, but clearly confidence is low.

who cares whether Utd are in top form or not....

well, Joe Cole's tackle was worthy of a red card, but i doubt he would've done that if we were still playing with 11 men, Kalou and Sheva also had make lunging tackles to make up for the vacant space left by the 11th player.............

Currently, IMO, i think this would be our best formation(with Mikel suspended & Lamps, Drogba, Ballack, Bridge, Riccy out)

what do yer guys think?

just a little change there. I think two strikers will be better, to strike more on goal.
