How to get better graphics with OLD engine!

Improved LOD of head and body a little more.

Just extract to FIFA 08 Demo\data\cmn replacing old files.
Make a backup before replacing files.
You cant see much difference on screenshots but that moving is waayyyy better.

Uses the same quality that is shown on players and stuff when they're viewed close-up in all cameras too. So you should get "replay" quality even when using a fully zoomed-out Tele cam. I don't know how much difference it makes, and right now I can't be bothered to take screenies. I'm way too disappointed with the demo to even care.

You just need to modify the cfg_pc_h
(del the two files first : cfg_pc_m cfg_pc_l)

caseira this looks great! I really can't stand it that the faces are such poor quality from distance, and that you can see it switch as you zoom in.

Will the final FIFA08 game use high detail faces for all zoom levels? Or will a modification like this need to be used for that too?

A mod will be needed for it.

Wow! That is really bad from EA then. Why can't they at least try to make the game look as nice as possible themselves? Shame on them.

For the same reason they're not using the next-gen engine on PCs. They want people with 10 year old PCs to still be able to play FIFA.

Yeah, unfortunelly that's true. But this file I made should be compatible with the full version too.

Hey man this is the best thing that happened to fifa since 2001. Great files. Great results.

I always use the highest setting bug after applying your patch i finally got better graphics and what is interesting everything is more fluid. Level of detail is waaaaay better and everything is more smooth. So it is snoother that on default demo's 800x600 and my 1680x1050 everything high. I dont know what u did but u did it. Please keep up the good work and make this even better if possible and please make it work on a full version of this stupid current gen engine. Thanks

Er... No offence frenkie, but calling that patch a Next-Gen one is a little far-fetched, don't you think? I would call it a "Graphical Improvement" one, definitely not even close to next-gen.

But, meh, it has to have a cool name, right?

The "next-gen" patch SUCKS, only manchester, america and milan's jerseys looks fine, all other teams looks black WTF ?
