capela is not sad just why you didnt know him personally, its sad for the way he dead and for the job he did, is not the same to dead one solider in war and player in field, the worst thing is that he was 22 (in best time of life) and he left his son who never cant say word "father" its something that i can imagine to happen at anyone

when his son grows up imagine things like,

"if only daddy picked for the match he would be here today"

thats the worst thing

My dad plays once a week with Puerta's uncle and cousin... he gave them a call this morning and they said Antonio was in a coma with no brain activity. It was over before if was over...

Anyways, the heart condition that Puerta had was very rare and virtually undetectable. This criticism of the team's medical staff is uncalled for. When Puerta fainted in practice, tests were performed but they found nothing.

They are having a wake in the stadium right now. The family is there, and they are allowing fans to visit. They've placed the team's flag, the country's flag, and his jersey on the casket. Beforehand, about 5000 people went to the stadium to light candles, and leave fotos and messages.

Very sad day in Football. Spain lost one of it's greatest left backs :(

R.I.P. Antonio Puerta

I hope the Revista De La Liga guys on Sky Sports do a decent tribute to the amazingly talented player.

How did the last doc discover it then? Just a question by the way.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
watched a news report from spain that tells what happens. The part were they show him having his seizure on the field, then walking off. You feel like he is going to be o'k, then they show him being rush into the hospital, already being assisted with breathing. It is then that you realized that it was the last time you would truly see him walking. It really got to me. :(

From his Wikipedia article:

"Doctor Francisco Murillo reported that Puerta had suffered multiple organ failure and irreversible brain damage as a result of multiple prolonged cardiac arrests due to an incurable, hereditary heart disease known as arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy."

An incurable, hereditary heart disease. Why do i have the impression the Sevilla doctors knew about it? Dont players have regular exams? How do they let him anywhere near a football pitch if they knew it?

holy **** :| RIP :(
