Fear and Loathing in Thailand

Sounds pretty incredible. Although I never really liked opium. Made me sleepy and on the verge of throwing up. Pills on the other hand, were always fantastic. Either way, I'm glad that I don't do any of that anymore. Just pour me a Jager (I'm such an alky i'll drink it straight now. at least it's not straight vodka i guess), or a double red bull and vodka and I'm fine. Never really like weed either. And I wouldn't **** a kid or blow up a cow. So I guess Cambodia isn't for me. My people also napalmed the **** out of that country, so I'd probably have to speak with a cockney accent.
You sound like you would love Thailand, they do a drink here called the Thai Bucket, which is vodka, Thai red bull (ten times stronger than the western kind, would be illegal over there) and coke mixed with ice in a big bucket, it gets you incredibly drunk but also incredibly wired. Also, in the pharmacies (well, the dodgy ones) you can legally buy drugs called appetite suppressors or 'diet pills' which are like an ultra concentrated, intense version of speed and are absolutely insane when done in substancial quantities. They do make eating and sleeping impossible for the next two days, however.

I enjoyed opium but I wouldnt want to do it often. Same with mushrooms on Koh Phagnan, it was an incredibly intense and powerful trip but I dont know how often I'd want to put my mind through that. Also while the Cambodian weed is very available, it is not of very good quality, though apparantly it can be better. But all in all I would say, regardless of your sexual, macarbre or pharmaceutical preferences, it is still a country that has to be seen just so you can see how wild the world can be. Also, for me, a brit who's never even seen a real gun before, firing large amounts of them was an incredible buzz, even though I didnt feel the need to kill anything. They even gave me a couple of beers to drink while I was waiting to fire the AK!

I feel like I would snort the appetite suppressants without fully realizing what they were and end up overdosing. Yeah I see how that would be an incredible trip. I don't know if I would want to deal with those shrooms either, but I'm very intrigued by the illegal in the west Red Bull. My stepdad does have guns in his shed, but I've never had any desire to fire one. I've turned down the opportunity to go hunting at every turn. It just has never appealed to me. I'd also be terrified of the prostitutes being ladyboys or 13. Or having the AIDS.

All the stories about prostitutes out here are falsified, there are lots of them but 95% of the time they're here for the locals, not for the westerners.

And I felt the same about guns before I fired one, but now I'm addicted. I spent the entire tuk tuk ride home lining up every passing vehicle as a potential target. It's awakened something dark within me.

Hahahah, that's pretty funny. That reminds me of the last 45 minutes of Taxi Driver. Ok, now I'm terrified for everyone who will be in Edinburgh the next 3 years.

I've already instructed my team of assistants back home (aka some of my deadbeat friends) to see about the possibility of obtaining illegal firearms, or even a legal shotgun license. I was actually amazed at how good my aim was with a Colt 45 considering I'd never fired a gun before, I was far better than anyone else there. The AK is the most fun though, I was quoting Sam Carlos*son while firing it "When you absolutely, positively have to kill every mother****er in the room, accept no substitute!". If I come to America maybe I'll get to play with some more guns then. I have an enormous new found respect for your right to bear arms - what does a few school shootings matter when they're so much FUN!

Hahaha, hey fair enough. But AK's are not legal here as far as I know. Some lesser american made automatic rifles probably are, but I'm almost positive you can't have an AK. I bet M-16's are legal, but I'm not positive.

It's more fun if they're not legal, as the paedophile said to the judge

Now there's a man who would truly appreciate the "unique" benefits of Cambodia!

Btw I did actually meet a real life paedophile while I was out there, by day he taught English to kids in a local school and by night he got incredibly wasted and banged underage hookers. He was also a crashing bore when it came to political discussion.

It really is the freak capital of the world, man.

So what exactly does he teach them in English?

AK's are legal in Southern states, as are all American semi-autos, Israeli guns as well. Hell, in Texas and Alabama you can buy a shoulder-fire rocket.

Man your trip to Cambodia sounds awesome (I forgot that country existed). You made it to be way funner than Paris or Rome.

Got back into England last night after heavily delayed flight, though the stewardesses were hot and we had a half hour conversation about my hair, and already am depressed by this countries ****eness. Why do I have to live here?
