Portugal is a little country. Brazil is a big country.

Stating the obvious, the main reason many portuguese teams have lots of brazilian players (especially the lower ones, just like Moreira said) it's because they're cheap. Of course, most of them are random and aren't good enough. Sometimes can't remain on one team for more than one season, sometimes they return to Brazil soon after but judging from what they've costed in the first place, it isn't much of a loss for those teams.

The fan of portuguese football in general doesn't support this. These lower clubs should be giving more oppurtunities for young portuguese players to show their value and mature their game. Some measures are said to be taken to invert this situation but as long as those teams don't have money they'll continue to do the same, simple because it's what they can afford.

And let's not forget, people in charge of these clubs are usually dumbasses and corrupt ****s that gain some money for themselves illegally with all those transfers.

When he signed his extension with Barca last year they agreed that he would be able to go on a free if Feyenoord came for him.
