Thierry Henry to Barcelona...

To be honest, this '4 crack' thing whilst probably very dangerous, might not be that effective. I mean, Henry might throw the scheme off balance. I'm not saying he would but I think we should see them play a few matches before thinking that these 4 will bring nothing but benefits. Big names don't necessarily mean success.

This means one of this great players is going to miss games, and that means colnflicts, we cant deny the big ego of superstars, i think it was a big mistake or maybe Barcelona is thinking to sell Eto´o.

I think that money should be used for squad depth at the back and in the middle, lets see how this works out.

also saying Wenger told Henry hes not gonna extend his contract, soo no wenger after that as well. im Sure Fabregas will definitley leave.

Actually Henry said that Wenger will decide next summer on whether to stay at Arsenal. Soo nothing is 100% with Wenger's future:wootman:. One thing you are correct about though is IF Wenger does leave next summer Fabregas and many others will definitely leave and all of the club, off and especially on the field will change. It will be so different to watch Arsenal without Wenger since he has such a distinct style of managing.

good riddance...finally dont have to see his cocky face in the EPL

No need for that, I find Henry is the most likeable footballer off the field , he's one of the few footballers that don't come across as complete morons in interviews. Not to mention being one of the greatest players ever to play in England.

I can't wait for that to happen. Mass exodus.
Arsenal slipping to mid-table. Thrashed by United and Sunderland. Fantastic.

I seem to remember Arsenal beating Man Utd at Old Trafford with Henry somewhere in the stands playing on his mobile.
As for a mass exodus, it would only happen when Wenger leaves, and if theres one thing that can at least be guaranteed it's that Wenger will honour the year left on his contract. What happens then and whether Fabregas would stay if Wenger left is all hypothetical at this moment. Certainly if the board continue to be so tight around the purse strings it may occur , but i dont think it will.

I wonder what that Kroenke guy thinks now, his takeover bid totally destabilised the whole club.
No, the executive board's pompousness and imbicility totally destabilised the whole club. If they hadn't been stupid enough to fire Dien, the club wouldn't be in this mess.

Its so sad to see such an icon leave the premiership. He was truly a role-model for the kids, unlike some of the players in the EPL.

Arsenal got screwed over on the deal though. By selling Henry a year later, they lost like 26 million pounds and barely had Henry play.

Yeah, and Henry was the one that did it. He came out with his "Barcelona are cheaters, I will never play for them" and "I will never play in a country where I will be racially abused" comments

He acted his own arrogant act very well, and in the process delayed his transfer to Barcelona to a year later and cost Arsenal £26 million. And today I heard him call himself a "gunner for life". Yeah right.

Why would Henry care about them losing out on 26m? I think people should stop whining about him being a cause of problems. Plenty of things can change in the course of a year. Last year he wanted to stay, now he doesn't. Big deal. Not everyone is like Totti who stays forever in one team. Being a footballer is a job, sometimes you go work somewhere else.

Leave him alone, the guy did great for Henry and in these 7 years has done more for the club than probably any player who has played with him in that period.

I'm gonna miss seeing him in the Premiership, though.

I don't see henry as betraying Arsenal or letting the team/fans down, but the board of arsenal letting him down.

That's the way I see it. I don't blame him for leaving.

Of course you can't blame the guy. How was he to know how much would change at Arsenal in less than a year, at the time he signed his last contract. He aint getting any younger and I can understand that he wants to win something more before his time is up.

If the status quo at the club could have been maintained ( in the boardroom), I dare say he would not be leaving now. With the departure of Dein and the impending departure of Wenger, the future of Arsenal is somewhat unsure in his eyes, and he cannot afford to take the risk that everything will be alright there, when it could quite easily get a lot worse before it gets better.

When he signed his last contract, he was adamant that for him to sign, Arsenal needed to assure him that they were willing to bring some experienced players into the club . He knew that he couldn't afford to hang about any longer while the young signings that Wenger had brought to Arsenal gained experience and matured. Wenger and Dein gave him that assurance at the time that he signed. Neither of them could forsee the recent events at the club that has caused such turmoil.

Non Arsenal fans have had a laugh over the whole saga. From Dein leaving, Henry leaving and the word that Wenger is not gonna sign another contract at Arsenal. I guess that is to be expected. Lets face it, everyone does it to everyone else at one time or another.

The truth is that Henry will be missed by the gooners and now everyone's had a laugh (and got nasty), I think we just need to cool it a bit because I for one, as much as I do not like Arsenal, do appreciate the sublime skills that Henry has entertained us all with over the years. Most of the time he has been a joy to watch as a player, and I think all fans of the EPL recognise that.

I know how I would feel if our club captain just upped and left. I know I would feel like s.h.it. I can't bring myself to rub salt into the Arsenal wound at all. For Arsenal fans this is painful.
