So I've never really watched Nani in action, now its the end of the season and hes labelled as replacing Giggs, I thought I'd check him out. The guy only ever uses his right foot.......he never uses his left foot. Even one on one with the goalkeeper on the left side, he used the outside of his right foot to finish the goal, its put doubt on his potential to replace Giggs in my mind.

And you are underrating VDS a lot, he saved us so many times this season and was almost as influential as Cristiano in winning this season's titles. If not for him games like Liverpool and Fulham away would be lost, instead of won. The guy has been outstanding for 2 seasons. Out of all the goals conceeded by him maybe 3 or 4 were his mistakes, but looking at the previous keepers before Schmeichel, they would have this 3 or 4 mistakes every 10 games. If anything i'm sad that this guy didn't join us earlier because he has to be considered alongside Ronaldo, Scholes and Vidic as this season's heros.

I agree partly with you. But to be fair with VDS although he has saved us alot this season he has also made so many mistakes that could of cost us dearly. For instance when he went about 4 games in a row, where he kept palming the ball out instead of catching it, which cud of easily gone to an oponent. For a GK of his experience, its not acceptable really. And with Foster, take into account he was playing behind a Watford defence - no offence but thats no where near Utd. And if Foster can play that well with that kind of defence, then i'd like to see wot he can do with a top quality defence in front of him.

As for dissing a GK like Van der Sar, You must be fu<king stupid. He is world class. Foster had such a good season with Watford that they got relegated. No good blaming the other 10 players of Watford, Foster made some dreadful game costing mistakes. Ask Paul Robinson.

Foster better than Van der Sar? That is an ignorant statement.

before u go into one of your rants!, Im not dissing VDS at all, i still do think he's still a great goalkeeper, and im not blaming Watford players for that matter, im just stating the obvious . Am i not intitled to my own opinion?.

Frankly, pede, our defense is as good as Chelsea's, if not better this season surprisingly, so i don't know what you are on there.


As for the rest of the post, i conquer.




Like i said being a top class keeper is so much more than just stopping shots and catching the balls coming at you. If you are good enough, you will command the defense in a way that you won't have to stop or catch the balls at all in a game.

Nani has signed a new deal with sporting so he wont be comeing for the imeddiate futher but a player that is leave is fernando Torres,,,im one of this lads biggest fans and i honesty think he should go for him ahead of huntelaar

Nani hasn't signed the deal. Just the portugese media speculating. There are no quotes from player, agent or club saying that he has signed the deal.

its true... nani signed new deal in sporting half a year ago (they want to promsie that he will sold in high price)

Why would we want Bale anyways? We have a strong left-back in Heinze and a fast left-back in Evra. If we want to use him as a left midfielder, then why not buy somebody who actually is a left midfielder. What we need is a right back because we only have Gary Neville for that position. The rest of the defensive positions are covered. It only happens like once in 20 years when you have 6 defenders injuried at the same time like we had this year and we still did well without them.

it seems like silvestre is leaving, so we do need some cover. and going for a young talent isn't that bad after all, is it?

But we used Silvestre this season only like 2 or 3 times. Would a player like Bale want to come to sit on the bench for 2-3 seasons before we get somebody else? Why have 3 left-backs and 1 right back, when we need to have 2 each, you know what i mean?

I think Johnny Evans on loan at Sunderland is the real long term successor, I haven't seen him play but apparently he class, Bardsley will probably be sold over summer.

Is Evans and Bardsley good enough? I mean we hear about all this class youth players that are about to break into the team and replace one of our stars and the next thing you know is they are sold for half a million to a lower division team.
