The magazine Nintendo Power has revealed the first news about Fifa08 (wii). It says that you can unlock special Mii's like Ronal-mii-ho and play special rhythm games (keeping the ball as long from the ground as possible) and play a lot more mini-games (like playing a shoot-out with multiple players and one goalie in a knock-out system.. the player who scores last will be eleminated for round 2 etc.).

Furthermore it says that you can play Fifa08 with the special motion possibilities, the WII has to offer.

I wonder which graphic engine the Wii-Version will get.:D

When the Wii gets the new engine (Xbox360) ,maybe the PC game gets the also the new engine.
I hope they finally change the engine, because I can't play with those graphic made in 2003 anymore....

Nintendo Power's profile on Electronic Arts' upcoming FIFA Soccer 08 reveals that the Wii version will feature a slate of multiplayer minigames using Miis.

The minigames are packaged with the game to appeal to "family members whose idea of a keeper is a boyfriend who brings flowers," the magazine says. One minigame makes a rhythm-style game out of keeping the ball in the air, having players flick their Remote in a specific direction when the ball drops into a target circle. Foosball is also available, alongside a shootout where multiple players shoot at a single goalie—low scorers take goalie duties for the next round. Playing the games will let you unlock "Ronald-mii-nho".

The main game features Wii controls as well, eschewing button combinations for motion gestures. FIFA Soccer 08 is looking toward a fall release.

Niet geheel verrassend komt uitgever EA vandaag met het bericht dat Barcelona-speler Ronaldinho op de hoesjes zal prijken van FIFA 08. Afhankelijk van het land zal een andere stervoetballer naast hem op de FIFA-verpakking schitteren.

EA kan al de volgende spelers onthullen die naast Ronaldinho op het hoesje zullen verschijnen:
- Miroslav Klose (SV Werder Bremen) - Duitsland;
- Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) - Spanje;
- Andreas Ivanschitz (Panathinaikos) - Oostenrijk ;
- Tranquillo Barnetta (Bayer Leverkusen) - Zwitserland;
- Florent Malouda (Olympique Lyon) en Frank Ribery (Olympique Marseille) - Frankrijk.

De spelers die in Noord-Amerika en het Verenigd Koninkrijk op de covers van FIFA 08 zullen staan, worden volgende maand onthuld.

In other words.. Ronaldinho will be on the cover. Klose in Germany, Ramos in Spain, Ivanschitz in Austria, Barnetta in Switserland, Malouda and Ribery in France. EA will reveal the UK and US covers next month.

EA hasn't given an exact date, but Fifa 08 will be released this fall on the following systems: pc, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, DS, PSP and mobile phones.
