for example:

Reporter: having had the penalty awarded was it mind games since u took one against boro last game
Ronaldo: when some team lose have something to say i think the win is fair i think man u play well play better
Reporter: have you had good chances before that
Ronaldo: yea we got good chance we play against watford you never know
Reporter:when you hear accusastion that you cheated how do you feel
Ronaldo:i feel good i felt confident i felt in good form the team is very good

To be fair to Ronaldo hes picked up English very well since he came. And from the interviews I've seen he answers questions as good as or better than the majority of foreign players.

I think his cluelessness in interviews is somewhat of an act. It seems that he knows more than just basic English, considering that he threw in the word "polemic" and used it perfectly as it should be used. I think he's just using his foreign status as a shield from questions that he doesn't want to answer, mainly the ones about diving and cheating.

haha an act, you guys are really pulling these posts out of your asses today..

Polemic in Portuguese is Polemica, so yeah, he didn't exactly need a dictionary to know how to use that particular word..

He has the slightest clue about anything else except when asked if he feels if its a penalty. He is picking up English real well though.Funny thing about Footballers during interview is that, they have to make sure they say nothing wrong and always stay on the neutral path. That for me is funny, its like they have to control every time and cant let it out.It would be hilarious if Ronaldo would flipped back the question to the interviewer."Do you think its a penalty?" "Berbatov dived too at White Hart Lane against Chelsea,Why isnt he in the news?"...

ueah thats good for us that theyve put it back to then, if we can maintaina 6 point gap by that time we can afford to lose both the remaining games of the season against chelsea and west ham. plus Chelsea still have to go to the emirites.

yes we still have some tough games left but i think playing chelsea later in the season is better especially since with the international breaks this week its means our injured playes have gotten nearly an extra 2 weeks off recovery time with no strain on the squad because of premiership matches.

I guess that clears things up then... :$

I just found it odd that he would know that word, not realizing the translation was the same.
