Do any of you lot think we should be for Ronaldinho? There is strong rumours that the brasilian is in his last season at Barca as a big rift is threatening to rip the club apart.Remember that he snubbed us to come to Barca...Ronaldinho,Man United kit, number 10? Wouldnt that be perfect?

a little unlikely dont you think?

It's not really Ronaldinho that's the problem. It's Eto'o by the sounds of things.

I've read that Eto'o is a bit jealous of the attention Ronaldinho is getting. He's a cracking player, and probably the deadliest striker in the world.

True enough, but his ego may just get the best of him.

He seems to think because of those factors, he can do whatever he wants and it's just not going to work.

He has the backing of Laporta and this isn't the first time he's gone over Rijkaard's head.

I love his play and his intensity, but he has no brain and if he keeps this up I would rather grudgingly wave goodbye than have him destroy the amazing chemistry Rijkaard has fostered at Barca. It's not easy with that many "world's best" in so many positions. How many teams in the world would love to field Barca's second squad?

So in this instance where Laporta is basically excusing anything Eto'o does, it is up to Frank to maintain his integrity and the well-earned respect of his players by not allowing this indiscipline to continue. Eto'o really is behaving like a spoiled child.

Anyway, if you want, I'll trade you Eto'o for Cristiano....:mrpimp:

Just kidding anyway, I prefer Samuel with all of his emotional outbursts as he really is a goal-scoring machine and fits in perfectly with our system. Cristiano Ronaldo would have to be accomodated and move things around.

It looks like Puyol and Xavi (what a captain Carles is!) have spoken with Ronnie and Eto'o and things are sorted anyway...

(Sorry to all of you for all the Barca discussion in your thread!) :)

why are they so many annoying c*nts like deco, eto,o, figo and now viana trying to influence our ronaldo to leave us, they should shut up as its none of their f*cking business

Figo didn´t say anything wrong, he just said that he should think wisely before deciding. Viana on the other hand should have kept his mouth shut. I can´t stand him. Don´t know how the fck he´s still in our NT.

Well we have had a glut of goalkeepers - wish T-Ho the best of luck as a toffee. Tommy will probably take #1 from Edwin once he retires (prob a couple of years) and Ben Foster looks a cracking keeper too, especially his distribution.

I reckon Tommy and Ben will be United's keeping pair for the next few years at least.

As for the thought of Ronaldinho coming (however very unlikely) I don't think our system would accomodate him that well. Whilst Dinho is a very gifted player, and regarded in the top three in the World I can't see where United would play him. Rooney plays in the "hole", Giggsy's on the left and Ronny's on the right with Scholes and Carrick in the centre. Ronaldinho plays either in the hole or on the left. And to be honest at this moment I'd take Cristiano over him. Could Ronaldinho and Rooney play together, or would they both be occupying the same positions and making the same moves and getting in each other's way.

If Ronaldinho leaves Barca then I see only two destinations;

Real Madrid or Milan. I think Ronaldinho would turn down a move to England due to the climate.

Personally speaking, I think the only moves United need to make is to increase the quality of the squad (rather than depth). Hargreaves coming in will add options in midfield, but I think there are a few players in the squad who aren't of the class we need as backup like Fletcher, Richardson etc.

I think we should try to get a couple of players like Downing or Sidwell to bolster the squad. Our first XI is very strong now, although longevity is a problem with the likes of Scholsey and Giggsy longterm (and replacements need to be found) these players could take the reins if they achieve their potential.

Does this mean Howard can play against us at Goodison? I think the deal should have been made permanent at the end of the season not in the middle. Wouldn't want him to have a blinder of a game against us.

No, he's considered to be "on loan" until the transfer window opens up. Therefore, he can't play against us.

Yer the deal starts from now even though its outside of the window, he's Everton's player now they can do whatever they like with him.

Yeah, i love it how Hugo Viana said in his interview that Ronaldo is definietly leaving in the summer and he is going to eithe Barca or Real who are both more important than United and that United can't hold on to good players.

Agreed!

Pedro Mendes, Carlos Martins or Manuel Fernandes are at least ten times better than him... i even prefer Meireles to Viana...

True. Viana was on good form when he was at Sporting. Ever since he left them he's been crap. I bet no one knows how he can still be at the NT. That's Scolari for you.

His comments are rubbish. This C. Ronaldo situation has nothing to do him, though he's his friend he shouldn't be commentating it, especially in the way he did.
