Most competitive? I'd say Real vs. Bayern and Barca vs. Liverpool. Neither Real nor Bayern have been playing very well lately in their domestic leagues and they will both try to prove themselves in the CL. Since Barca won't have Messi and Eto'o back Liverpool will clearly have a very good chance to possibly knock them out. This is truly a great tie between the last two champions of the competition and I'm looking forward to this one more than any other.

I think Roma will give Lyon a really hard time, I don't really know why, it's just a feeling I've had since the draw came out. Inter, Chelsea, Arsenal and Milan should go through, not easily but I don't think they will get much of a scare. I think Chelsea and Milan are gonna have the toughest time out of that bunch. Personally I think PSV and Valencia have no chance of getting through but you never know, upsets could happen.

Let the games begin (Y)

BTW I sort of have a follow up question: If Liverpool defeat Barca and go through would that be considered an upset? Personally I say no but what do you guys think?

Screw the CL, have they gone mad, playing PSV-Arsenal on the last day of carnaval...that's real stupid planning, PSV even proposed to move the match to wednesday for safety reasons, but the UEFA rejected because of commercial thingies. They find the commercial aspect more important than safety...

For people that don't understand Dutch carnaval (that's YOU, UEFA):Tens, if not hundreds of thousands of extremely drunk people will inhabit the streets of Eindhoven.

Really? So they will be fit for the 'Pool match?
Maybe Eto'o will play only 60-70 minutes in the first leg. Apparently Messi is in better form.

Last week Eto'o played 10 minutes, but after 4 months injured he'll need more time.

I am really interested in Roma vs Lyon battle.
The other matches are migh at first seem like duel of the year, but in other hand you saw it too much, like for example Porto vs Chelsea is getting very common.
Barca vs Liverpool should show us some good action tho.

Valencia is going to win againts Inter. VCF always wins this kind of games (when he is not the favourite). Inter has always defeated Valencia, that's true...

He uses to lose against teams as Getafe, like yesterday, but uses to win against teams like Inter.

For me, Inter is the worst team for Valencia right now, but I think we are going to win.

The other matches...well Barça-Liverpool, I'm not sure about this match, because Benitez knows Barça a lot...and physical teams as Liverpool are very hard for teams like Barça.

Madrid-Bayern, I think it is clear, Madrid.

Roma-Lyon...I don't know...Lyon is playing a lot of good matches, but I think Roma will defeat them.

Celtic-Milan, Milan.

Psv-Arsenal, Arsenal.

Lille-Machester, Manchester

Porto-Chelsea, Chelsea

Not to stir things up, but i thought this was interesting.

MANCHESTER UNITED have been branded a bunch of overpaid fat cats by Euro rivals Lille.

Striker Peter Odemwingie has vowed to dump them out of the Champions League next week.

He said: “We may not have the fat bank accounts like United players, but in order to show we deserve the money they are getting, we have to kick them out.

“We are ready for anything. Names don’t really count in football. We play more like a team and do not beg for recognition.”

United aces like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney rake in well over £100,000 a week at Old Trafford.

But Odemwingie, nicknamed Osaze, added: “We have quality players who have the experience to face the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney and Ferdinand.

“We have a younger team with strong players, who are ready to prove a point.

“They may have some of the best players on the Continent but we will not look at credentials when we meet. We beat Milan 2-0 in our last match — so playing United is no big deal.”
