Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has sensationally accused Celtic and Rangers of buying off players and referees.
The outspoken Lithuanian, who has never been far from controversy with some of his opinions, believes Old Firm duo Celtic and Rangers run Scottish football.
Romanov, who claimed The Jambos won last season's Scottish Cup despite the best efforts of officials, has now launched another attack on the state of football in Scotland.
"Celtic and Rangers? Even Kaunas are a match for them on the pitch. The thing is they've turned football into a type of showbusiness with their underhand games," Romanov told Russian magazine Futbol
They buy off players and referees. When it comes to weaker teams then nobody can help, but if two opponents are equally matched then the referees can have a real influence on the outcome".
The controversial Romanov also accused former Hearts captain Steven Pressley of leading a five man group of Hearts players he claims were working on behalf on Celtic and Rangers and that they undermined coach Eduard Malofeev during his time in charge of the club.
When asked why Eduard Malofeev failed to succeed at Tynecastle, Romanov said "Well, if you've got five people in the team working for Celtic and Rangers then what more is there to say? What could Malofeev have achieved?"
Romanov's latest outburst is sure to land him in trouble with the Scottish Football Association who fined the Hearts chief last year for comments he made.
Celtic Chairman Brian Quinn has moved quickly to reject the allegations and has threatened to sue Romanov
"I think it is absurd. Absolutely ridiculous. If he is saying this I will take legal advice on this", Quinn told Radio Four's Today programme.
"The SFA will take a clear view on this"
