He may be fearing that he won't be the president anymore after the 20th...but noone is for sure what will happen after that day which is when the final recount happens for all the election.

You better hope he doesn't get booted. Can you imagine the mess our team will be if we have to change President, Sporting Director, and Coach yet again. What we need is continuity and Capello is headed in the right direction.

ahh, i dont want fatty to leave :(. he lost all that weight now, for what, to tear it up in italy (unless he gets injured, which i also fear, he deserves an injury-free run of games).
well, atleast the galactico name will be gone, and a new era will begin.

i love ronaldo and i hope he does well at milan espeacially since he wont play against us in the champions league, he will do great for them i think because milan will make him lose a lot more weight in there lab and they are good at getting the best out of players over the age of 30.

i really hope they dont do anything about the elections this season that would really **** up our season if these people who want to become presideint really are fans of madrid and really care about us they would not make us go thorough the elections, if calderon leaves i will be ******* pissed off, because that will **** up our season no matter who wins.

Well, if Calderon was not just a scumbag than we would have had a fair election with a fair winner. So its kind of hard to accept him and say just leave it but as you say it could cause yet another huge mess so there is really no way for me to be happy with what happens. Either way no players/coaches will be fired, at least not until the summer time.

What an idiot Calderon is, the players were supposed to have a nice lunch and just enjoy themslef's but instead they were pissed at his comments. Nice one Calderon.

RM-Betis Teamsheet:

# Iker Casillas and Diego López.
# Helguera, Sergio Ramos, Cannavaro, Mejía, Raúl Bravo and Miguel Torres.
# Diarra, Gago, Reyes, Robinho, Nieto and De la Red.
# Higuaín and Van Nistelrooy.

# Not called up: Ronaldo, Cassano, Beckham and Pavón (coaching decision), and Raúl, Emerson, Roberto Carlos, Marcelo, Salgado, Guti and Cicinho (injured).

we have Mallorca away on sunday in the league and i hope Capello rests one of Canna or Helguera. put Ramos at CB and keep Torres on the RB, because he´s been excellent! i also want De la Red to play a big role in this match as a reward of his decision to stay! :D

Milan wants Ronaldo - For free!
they are willing to take over his contract, with his high wages as long as they get him on a free transfer. but Pedja wont accpt this. he wants a fee for the player.

i think the things Calderón said has been twisted up by the media. but it´s still very stupid of him to go public with his thoughts of the team and the fans. :nape:

here´s the full interview, Jaouadinho:

Real Madrid president turns on club's fans, Beckham and Perez

Madrid - Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon delivered heated comments on Tuesday in a visit to a university, and attacked in harsh terms everyone from David Beckham to his predecessor Florentino Perez.

'(Beckham) is going to Hollywood to become sort of a movie star. Not renewing his contract is a good decision by our technical team, and it is proved by the fact that no technical team in the world wanted him, only in Los Angeles,' Calderon claimed, in a lecture broadcast by several Spanish radio stations.

The former England captain shocked the footballing world last week by agreeing a five-year contract with the Galaxy worth some 250 million dollars after deciding not to renew his contract with Real.

Only Monday, Calderon said 'Beckham has taken the club for a ride' with his behaviour on the failed re-negotiation of his contract with the Spanish giants, and both sides are thought to be looking for ways to rescind the star midfielder's contract, which would otherwise expire in June.

However, Calderon had more ammunition at the Villanueva University Centre, where he explained that in the Real Madrid changing rooms 'there is vanity, ego, everyone has the feeling that they are superstars... A Real Madrid player never pays, wherever he goes.'

'You are cultured and educated,' he told the students, to add that the players 'generally are not.'

Calderon focused his attack on another midfielder, team vice- captain Guti.

'Raul started out with Guti, and the latter, aged 31, is still a promising player.'

Calderon further referred to differences in contracts which may help explain disagreements within the team.

'Iker Casillas earns nine million euros (11.6 million dollars) a year, and Diego Lopez earns 300,000 euros (388,000 dollars),' the Real Madrid president revealed, with reference to the team's star goalkeeper and his sub.

An unbridled Calderon also criticised the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

'It is a stadium where people go like to a theatre. People do not cheer, unlike in Italy or England.'

The Real Madrid president further attacked his predecessor Perez, and accused him of sabotaging the signing of Brazilian star Kaka, who plays for AC Milan.

'Perez, who has not exactly supported me, talked to (Milan AC owner) Silvio Berlusconi so that he renewed Kaka's contract, and Berlusconi rushed to renew it,' Calderon said.

He claimed that the great friendship between Perez and Berlusconi was crucial to prevent Calderon from fulfilling the great promise of signing the Brazilian, which helped him win the most recent elections at the club.

However, the Real Madrid president insisted that he has not ruled out Kaka's arrival.

'If I am still Real Madrid president in June, it is very likely that Kaka will join us.'

(Y)

getting rid of primadonnas like ronaldo and becks is a step in the right direction. Give capello time and the proper players and it will pay off

I still cant believe what calderon said :| Guti must be very angry

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
Sad to see what loyalty will get you now a days :boohoo:. Seriously whats wrong with Calderon to go out and say stupid SH!T3 like that, specially after what Guti has done in the midfield..

He saves Madrid's for 3 years and gets booed by the fans.

Saves? his 1st season, maybe. the other 2, No.

and he only gets booed because of his poor performances and lack of interest and motivation.

i dont know about you but so far.
Ruud: 16 goals
Ronaldo: 4 goals.

i'd say Ruud is greater.

lets hope we get some money for him (Cassano too!). Madrid has a habit of buying at a higher price (diarra, Robinho, ect.) and selling for a lower price (Beckham, Figo, Morientes, Makalele, Solari, Samuel and so on.....)

and @-$MZ77$
that is a great team! but u are missing Cichinho, but you will still need some old heads in the team for direction. There is no substitute for experience.

You mean Iker Casillas has saved Madrid for 3 years right?

Anyway Milan are making a stupid offer for Ronaldo, trying to get him for free:|. **** we want to sell the guy but we also want some money in the deal.

We should have sold him to them in the summer when we had the chance to get some decent money for him.

Why is it a stupid offer, I dont know what his contact is worth but it would be at least x million euros, if your not going to play him its just x dollars wasted. If he went to Milan for free you wouldnt lose all that money

Thanx Datboy for the info.

We should try and get some for ronaldo, or give him to them for free with a clause if he scores a certain amount of goals or performs really well for them they should pay us something like 10-15 million euros, thats way everyone is happy.

I would rather loan him to Milan for the rest of the season in which Milan would take over his contract but than they also would have to make an offer to buy him, he is still worth something and letting him go for free is a loss of money that is worth more than his contract is.
