How do you bring the Strikers up to pressure short GK passes?

In pro 5, and basically all the other Pro evolutiong games, the forward would press the defender, and force the goal keepers to kick the ball out to the midfield. This is more realistic, as my mates now only short kick the ball out, it gets real repetitive and boring. It really prevents those midfield battles.

Any help guys?

How do you bring your strikers you mean? Use the pressure strategy, does the trick. Now if you want to get your defenders pressed, play on top player. Usually when the PC is losing they'll try that type of stuff. You can manually change their tactics and put them on pressure aswell, on the set team formation screen, at the Edit Team thingy.

Ive tried putting this as strategy, and the strikers still remain at midfield on Goal Kicks. Do you, or anyone else know how to push the pressure up on the short passes.

Do it manually. Thats how i do it, but you can pressure only 1 def at a time.

Cant do it manually, when the ball goes out of bounds, the game resets with the strikers allready at midfield, you never have time to run them to the front to pressure the short pass to the defender. Its so fake, because it makes the game redundant, short pass after short pass. It takes out alot of major midfield play.

Why am I the only one who is disgusted with this new implemented gameplay tweak. In the old Winning eleven games, the strikers could pressure the Goal Kicks, this forcing the opposing player to kick it in the midfield, which is far more realistic. Watch a soccer game and see how many short goal kicks to a defender there are, hardly any. Its such bull****, has anyone fixed this problem???

have you tried holding R1 and R2 together and running your player towards the centre backs? I quite often manage to force them to boot the ball out for a throw in, which isn't stopping the computer from making short passes, but is punishing them for doing it..

and as for pressuring the goal keeper: http://www.drblank.com/slaw16.htm

excerpt:
Procedure
the ball is kicked from any point within the goal area by a player of the defending team
opponents remain outside the penalty area until the ball is in play

to keep gk under pressure i use an high formation (all the players high on the green field as much is possible).
i set all the players with low white arrow for defense running and high pressing enabled.
when i play i try to keep pressure high on first ball holders, just to make em waste the ball launching it very far on the attackers/midfielders, everybody already marked (of course :-)). thats what u meant, i guess.

just hold pressing button while the cpu/opponent restart attacking from the behind. it usually calls at least one of your mates, beside you, to press.
