I take it ur one of these Dance music lovers?

Guitar is and will always been cool.

I play a Tom Delonge Stratocaster... its good for punk stuff, but im currently in the process of buying a PRS Tremonte SE... which will give me that much needed full sound from my songs.

I started off playing bass around 6 years ago and now im playing guitar, its not really abig change, but if anyone can help me out to some material for learning scales and different techniques like harmonics and different strumming like SKA up strokes, that would be awesome.

As for one of the earlier questions... Best/greatest guitarist... theres too many to name but heres a few...

Jimi Hendrix (yes i know hes dead but he died way b4 his time).

John Frusciante

It just depends on what ur music tastes are to who ur favourite guitarists are.

Now as for bassists... Tim Commerford (RATM/Audioslave) and Flea (RHCP) are by far the best around.

yeah, favourite guitarists vary a lot according to the kind of music you admire.

the ones you mentioned, Clapton, during his Yardbirds/Cream/Bluesbreakers years was simply a GOD. Hendrix is my all time guitar hero. Morello is so freakin' original, and he rocks so hard with his unique groove, I love it. I wouldn't put Frusciante in the same category as the other 3, but I love the guy, he's got so much soul playint the intrument

I'm a hug fan of AC/DC's Angus Young (their my fav band), and Slash his a freakin rock legend as well.

but there are so many guitar legends, Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, etc. He just depends on your "type" of guitar hero role-model

as for bassists the ones u mentioned are my favourite as well. :)
