Well, it's official. Vladimir has lost it! He released this statement this afternoon:

'I want to dedicate Hearts victories to those journalists who, because of their hate towards us, only notice our defeats and say it is fair criticism when in fact it is simply hysteria with only one aim – to dismantle the club.

They remain blind to unfair refereeing, even the ruthless one of Athens. We can’t do much if the referee does not give us four penalties, which we deserve. I am sure fans see and remember everything.

Despite your hysteria I do not only give my approval to every team selection, but also to the plan of the training process. I do, as well, participate in the selection of new players.

Having said this, I am expecting more outbursts of hysteria. They give me confidence that I am on the right way.

You remind me of those Bolsheviks in Soviet times who wanted to shoot a peasant only because he planted the seeds following his own way, and not their instructions. Once they were ready to shoot a peasant, but a clever one who stopped them and said: “Let’s shoot him in the autumn after he has gathered his harvest.”

I guess that if you could, I would have already been shot by now, but whilst you can’t, full of hate and anger, you are spreading manure on my crops.

Naturally this is disgusting and offensive to clear up after you. Unfortunately you are bothering the heads of fans and the general public.

The journalists conduct interviews with players and after that wish to turn them into being about the support of Valdas. Indeed, by doing this they act just like small provocateurs, manufacturing a situation where Valdas needs support.

Last season Hearts proved everything that was possible to prove. You will have to fight with our shadow for quite a long time.

As for my naval service I was serving not in the name and ideals of Marx and Engels which were brought up in the west, but to my motherland on the legendary K19 submarine. Together with other submarine crews we made Cold Wars ideologists sign a peace deal with rescued the whole world from a catastrophic nuclear war.

The sailors were dying, not for the people like you, who are spreading poison on the beautiful vastness of the earth.

Actually, The K19 crew from that horrific nuclear accident has been nominated to get the Nobel Peace Prize. It will be an award to all submariners that conquered the ocean and won against the Cold War’s crazy ideologists'.

That's in the David Brent league for cringe. We're gonnae get torn a new areshole in the papers this weekend!

It's Friday, it's time for the weekly Romanov Rant! This week's victims are The Scottish Sun:

The following statement was this afternoon released to The Sun newspaper by Vladimir Romanov. Mr Romanov has asked that this statement be made available to all supporters via the club's website.

The Sun reminds me of a monkey, which climbed up the media tree and is yelling and throwing s*** down on everyone from there. You could understand it if we lived in jungles, but I guess we're humans and so monkeys should remain in the Monkey House.

To understand this you don't need your Professor Monkey. You're making all the right monkey noises yourselves and publishing large pictures of me which have only got one disadvantage: that I'm not portrayed there standing on all fours with banana in my mouth. The only effect it has is to draw attention away from really interesting and serious football matters.

I'm glad though that such pictures don't have your desired impact and so in order to attack me you ask Professor Monkey to help.

This might help you but it sadly it doesn't let you see outside your own cage.

You won't destabilise the team by using such cheap methods. They're professionals, even despite your articles, which put their minds in doubt that the fair and honest game exists, and that people working in football can earn honest money.

Perhaps it is time to understand what is more important - a banana plate in Glasgow or progress in football which is sadly degraded in the past 40 years.

What I want is to work quietly without interruptions by monkeys. As for the Sun being offended about my comments over my naval service, it was my duty to reply to it. Because of my service and thousands like me, the Cold War ideologists disappeared and you and many others like you were rescued from the horror of nuclear war.

And I'm proud of it. If you've got some arguments about it, I'm ready and willing to debate with you. Sadly, though, I'm not a Mowgli to be able to get this message through to you.

Still, I'm glad to see that you need a professor to veil your lie.

I am apologising to all readers and fans for the language I have used in this letter - but I have to speak in a language that can be understood in the animal kingdom.

Meanwhile, I keep the correct count of points in the SPL: so far Hearts have got 19, Celtic - 17 points.

Well, it appears Monkey Heid is away to West Brom. The bitters are actually in mourning! :D

Colin Leslie appears to be so upset he has spent the night drinking methylated spirits:

HIBERNIAN supporters are often derided about their romantic yearning for free-flowing, cavalier play, but in Tony Mowbray the Easter Road faithful finally found a manager who allowed them to indulge their passion for stylish football.

Anyone who leafed through Mowbray's autobiography Kissed By An Angel quickly realised that here was a man of great humility and substance.

His character fleshed out considerably more when he gave a comprehensive interview to the Hibs website during his first days in charge, outlining his football philosophy and embracing the attacking traditions of the Easter Road club.

And as for this, this is just offensive:

Off the pitch, Mowbray's honest, refreshing views were also winning him admirers, the only exception being Craig Levein who added a sour postscript to Hearts' 2-1 victory in a tousy derby at Tynecastle in October 2004.

While Mowbray pointed out at the post-match press conference that Hearts had been bigger and stronger than his players, Levein responded by accusing his counterpart of unloading a "lorryload of sour grapes" and complained that he was "fed up reading about certain teams who want to play lovely, flowing football."

It was to be Levein's last derby as Hearts manager, as he moved to Leicester days after. It was also the last time a bad word was uttered from within Scottish football against Mowbray, who has proved a breath of fresh air to our league.

Absolutely incredible! :D:D:D

i've just watched hibs 2 hearts 2. hearts came back from 2 down to get a draw. they had mikoliunas sent off when it was 2-1.

for those familiar with Edinburgh, do you see the irony in hibs fans singing"in your Gorgie slums"?

Fancy a team from Leith trying to take down Gorgie :kader:

I am absolutely raging from today. DISGUSTING performance and tactics. That was most definitely the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of Romanov's interference in the team and unconditional molestation of Miko. I demand Miko and that f*cking plank of wood stealing Brellier's position never play for HMFC ever again. This HAS TO STOP.

That team selection today lost us the SPL (not that we were really ever challenging for it, since we brought in nobody this summer). I predict Celtic will have a 30 point gap when they do it come Marchish time.

Very f*cked off tonight :kader:

yeah I was thinking that while watching the game today: "Who the **** is ................ and why isnt Brellier playing? Or how about Pinilla? <is he suspended?>)

lots of new mediocre players.

BTW- Gordon's final save was class and so was Hartley when he took on the little guy who scored the first goal (forgot his name).

And the latest one going round West Edinburgh is that all 3 who were there at the Press Conference today (Elvis, Hartley and Gordon) are to be dropped tomorrow.

Time will tell... I just hope I win EuroMillions tonight or something.

I wanted to believe that we could make a difference. I really did. But my God, what Vlad is doing... it's total sabotage now. And it's absolutely sickening.

You know what's hilarious about all of this?

About 6 months ago (day after the Gretna/Hearts game), I said something to the effect of : "Guys.............Well done Hearts. But this Vlad character should be castrated. It's obvious with all that happened throughout the year <him picking team/coaches leaving/ players in unrest <Webster/Brellier>/ the incredible number of lithuanians appearing all of a sudden> that the guy is not the best thing for the club (jesus, the guy has "Mafioso" written all over him.......almost in a hilarious exagerated way)

And what did I get? From all the hearts fans (pretty much): "No!!!!! VLAD IS OUR SAVIOR!!!!! HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?!!!!!???? WHAT DO YOU KNOW????!"

When a scottish friend of mine told me that he put all these Lithuanians as starters vs. Hibs just cause the game was being shown in Lithuania...........I just burst out laughing.

Like whats next? All we need is for Vlad to replace Craig Gordon with the Lithuanian NT goalie (just to showcase him on Hearts in order to sell him abroad later) for fans to finally react to this. (Guess there isnt much you can do)

yeah i wish andy gray did commentry for it! muahaha 2 former jambos scoring against the hibs!

i've watched the goal a few times on youtube now! seve!

Because that Artur Boroootzzz is a lovely, lovely man. Doesn't do nowt to away fans. Nup. Not one thing. Never.

Still doesn't excuse us papping it. Again. Once again we carve out laughable amounts of chances and we do our very best to f*ck them all up, then once Celtic put on the tiniest amount of pressure we fold.

In spite of that though, that was easily our best performance at Celtic Park in years, and I count victories that we have had in that as well. It's refreshing to know we still have it in us at least. Despite the absolutely sickening ending, there are far more positives than negatives to be taken out of today!
