Championship roster update

Hi guys...

Some good news I think justin time for the start of the Coca Cola Championship season in England. Some time before midnight GMT Thursday/Friday...I will make available my championship roster update.

It will include complete rosters for all the teams in England's Coca Cola Championship. Working from the team's websites, some teams are pretty threadbare! It will also have the correct teams in the EPL, Serie A, France, Spain, Holland, Germany and Scotland. Now...for those teams...I have made the transfers as well as I possibly can...but the lineups will not be 100 percent since I haven't worked on them extensively yet. In Scotland and Holland, the bottom teams have been replaced with the promoted teams...but in name only. Livingston is now named St. Mirren...and RBC Roosendal is now Excelsior Rotterdam. But the players are still the same as the former teams. I have not gotten around to editing the players yet.

The complete roster update comes out just after September 1 when the transfer window closes...it will include the complete "mutiger" treatment of the Coca Cola Championship, the EPL and the German Bundesliga as well as the "G-14" teams and some other select teams. All other leagues and teams will have updates...but may be lacking or maintaining some players. I figure you can always add or subtract players yourself in-game.

Look for the updates at the FIFA-MRA website...and I will also upload to the Soccergaming site as well.

Excellent, it's so hard to find updates for minor leagues. But why to rename teams with the name of the teams promoted? Does it make sense? Good luck with your update.

I must ask, how can you create updates when it's impossible to change faces with Creation Center? I would be very happy to know how to make decent updates in a FIFA game. I've been testing with both FIFA 2004 and FIFA 2005, using one worthless editor after another and have had no success at all.

Ooops..sorry. I didn't see that you hadn't tried to change the players, I read your post too quickly in the first place. If you try, then good luck. If you succeed, please let me know how.

Hey guys...

The roster update...such as it was...is available on the FIFA-MRA site. Again...the full update will come after Sept. 1...hopefully that day...but I can't say for sure.

Juninho...thanks for the link...that's one of my favorite sites.

Ock...Since the Dutch Eredivisie and the Scottish Premier League are the only leagues from their countries in the game (not using your wonderful update), I had to just change the names of the teams. Then I will fiddle with the rosters.

King...I change faces and such using Creation Center. I click on appearance and it gives you numbers for various faces, hair colors and styles, facial hair, etc. You have to kind of experiment to know what kind of face you are creating...and I'm kind of primitive in my knowledge. I know that face values 1 and 2 are white guys...14 and 15 are black guys...hair color 1 is black...etc. It's not the best system...but it gets me by. There is also a random "generate appearance" button. I usually don't use that since i at least have some idea of what the player looks like in real life.

The roster update available on FIFA-MRA is from a couple of weeks ago...so some important transfers are not made yet...but the teams are in the proper leagues...so if you really want to get something started in the next couple of days you could always go into the game and make the transfers yourself.

Is it possible to change faces in 06 with Creation Center? A friend of mine tested it (on my request) and said that it didn't work.

In that case, are the face values and such the same as for 04?

If that really works I might give 06 a try. I just don't want to buy another game which don't work the way I want. I've spent too much money on worthless games already.

By the way, thanks for information and good luck with your updates. Nice to see that someone has success in this matter. If I buy 06, I'll give your updates a try.

Quick update

Okay guys...here goes...

Cobra...Yes, I do make faces using the Creation Center...the problem is it doesn't always show you the product of your work...so a lot of times you are working in the dark so to speak. What I do sometimes is look at the number values for a player who kind of looks like the one I want to create and go from there. Also...many times the player's face doesn't show up in the player selection screen inside the game...but once you put the guy in the game...he does have a face...and I check that way.

J10...thanks for lookin' out for me. I forgot to check the MLS teams. They won't be part of the roster update...but you're right, they should have the proper names...I'll see to it. And yeah, lots of crazy things happening coming up to the transfer window closing.

Silk...if I can get to it...I'll send you my latest dbs when I get home tonight.

Guys, I am encountering a problem I think. I have heard from one of you that my reordered leagues do not appear in career mode in the game. In career mode, the leagues are as they were in 05-06. I use the Tournament Master to change the leagues' teams...and when you play friendlies, the teams are in the proper leagues. I myself have a problem with my game crashing when I go to career mode. So...if any of you have any ideas, let me know. And...I need a couple of you to give the problem a try and let me know. Make sure to make back ups of your dbs before installing my patch...and make sure to delete the FIFA06 folder from your personal folder before installing as well.
