The pace of this game just went into overdrive, good finish by Ribery, I kept expecting him to f*ck up the chance at any second, but its back on par now, the 2nd half should deliver some good entertainment. Spain have started off slow, but this is probably France's best half in the competition so far.

Exactly, I didn't think Ribery's shot was gonna go in but the defender practically let it roll by. Could it be a sign of Spain choking again?

Spain pass the ball in midfield but that's it. There's no link between the midfield and the forwards.

Luis García is not an amazing player but off the ball he makes good moves and he's much more useful than the God-knows-why-he-plays Raul.


Does Henry know what's an offside? It's annoying even for me.

Best half of football of all the Round of 16 games by far. That penalty was the easiest call of the World Cup, the ref was like a meter away. I'm glad that France tied it, the second half is gonna be a cracker, I doubt either one of these teams will settle for penalties.

Here's to Zidane scoring a goal :bob:

Yep, no doubts. Spain got caught just like Ghana today against Brazil. Ronaldo's goal was pretty much similar to Ribery's.
