It'd be awesome if all those went through, but then again, I'd keep Garcia, if only to knock some sides out of semis...

The season was very good when you think about players coming to the club. Last season the clubs would ask for too much money (Simao anyone?) and we finished 5th in the league. Now we've shown we'll be willing to fight for the league (not sure if we can really put up a challenge, but still), and players wouldn't be too expensive...

Let's just wait and see...

I think Rafa's taken a lesson from the Simao debacle, so it's no surprise we're going for a number of players in the same positions. We've agreed personal terms with at least 2 strikers, and now Pennant, although whether we come to an agreement with the respective clubs' fees is another matter. I won't be surprised if we signed both Pennant and Joaquin anyway since we haven't had any specialists for that position for some time now, Stevie's ability to play there notwithstanding. And Kromkamp is also rumoured to want a move, something about not being able to mix with the lads ever since he arrived, so there goes another potential cover at RM.

I know Morientes has little value right now, but I would say that is overpaying. This isnt the Joaquin of a year ago, his value has dropped significantly

Shame he couldn't do for us what he did for Monaco. He's a good player, but it seemed like he'd never adapt to the English style, so I think it's a good deal for club and player.

Apparantly we could be getting Alves today.

We have Pennant waiting on a contract (i.e if by the last day of the window, we haven't signed a right winger, we will get Pennant)

Can't disagree with the move...liked the player, but he just never cut it. 10 points or whatever between us and Chelsea will be difficult to cut into without a guy who can produce. I really wanted us to go for Andy Johnson cause the guy can flat out score. It's going to really sting if Everton bring him in to replace Duncan Ferguson. Shevchencko is unrealistic...we're not getting him..no way in hell do we stand a chance to sign him!

Rafa needs to do something to make Feyenoord aware of the fact that he's interested in signing Kuyt (if at all he actually is). He cannot just sit back and wait..a sign of some kind must be given to the player's agent or club.
