ehem, 34 (H)

haha doesnt really matter. we all know its to boast our chances to win the Coppa Italia next year, duh.

Anyway, the next few days could be interesting. Braida has confirmed that Gallas and Oddo are being targeted while Poulsen is to arrive tomorrow for a medical.

I am however most excited that we are being currently strongly linked to a 19 year old French youngster, Yoann Gourcuff. He is obviously, labelled the new Zidane.

Yoann GOURCUFF
11/07/1986
France
1m85, 79kg
Offensive Midfielder
03-04 : 9/0
04/05 : 12/0

Hope we hit the Carlos*pot like we did with Kaká (Y)

Latest rumour : Sheva's been offered a new contract till 2011 and will make him Milan's highest ever wage earner. If he turns this down.. :(

Anyway, any info at all regarding Gourcuff? I've read he's exactly a Rui Costa type player. The kind thats graceful and all, glides pass players etc.. We really need some young blood :nape:

Chelsea target Andrei Shevchenko is likely to make a decision on his future by the end of next week.

The Milan striker is considering leaving the Italian giants over the summer in search of a new challenge.

Premiership champions Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing the Ukraine international, with Blues owner Roman Abramovich determined to capture Shevchenko.

Milan are equally desperate to keep hold of the prolific hit-man and have offered Shevchenko a two-year contract extension.

Talks between player and club are scheduled for next week and Shevchenko insists he is yet to decide upon a move to Chelsea.

"I'm evaluating," Shevchenko told Gazzetta dello Sport. "I'll be back in Italy on Wednesday or Thursday and I'll meet Milan officials immediately.

"As I have already said I have never said that I have decided to go to Chelsea. I said we were thinking of this possibility due to family reasons."

Shevchenko has a special affection for his current club and he is adamant that money will not be a motivating factor in his decision.

He added: "My story with Milan is special, the supporters are special, everyone in Milan has been special.

"I arrived from a different environment and I found what I needed to grow, to learn another football, winning, becoming a player able to win the Golden Ball.

"I don't forget. I have always had a correct behaviour. I think I have nothing to prove from this point of view.

"Milan did what they could do. It's me who must reflect now. Money has never been my first problem."

I don't think offering him the highest contract ever will change his mind, it's all about "family reasons"... whatever those are. whatever he does

I think he will resign, and a whole lot of other milan fans who have already rushed to judgement of him as a traitorous whore will be pretty red in the face

You can just tell the guy is not about money. Yeah, hes friends with Roman, but I think all his comments about being like Baresi, Maldini, etc were all genuine. You could see he looked really depressed and traumatized during those press confrences, so I think his family problems were genuine as they come

It sounds crazy, but I dont want him at Chelsea. Buying ready made Champions shouldnt be what were about. More importantly, though, Sheva in any other colors just wouldnt seem right to me and alot of people. I hope he resigns, and then brings you a couple of more scudetti and at least champions league #7 before he hangs them up.

I never really liked Rui Costa, but a great player nonetheless, very loyal (Y) any idea why he cancelled?

He wants to comeback to Benfica :)

And yeah, i understand you didn't like him to much, he clearly wasn't at his best at Milan, but man, i tell you, at the days of Fiorentina and in the NT, during that time, he was absolutely FANTASTIC!

You guys could get Johnathan Woodgate for dirt cheap

He goes to Milan, stays fit, revives his career and you get a great defender for virtually nothing

Am I alone on this one? Id love to see Woody back to his best

by the way, good luck with keeping Sheva. I hope the guy extends
