What a ******* game.
Scoring wend like so-

Jamie Carragher og 21min- 0-1 West Ham
Dean Ashton 29min- 0-2 West Ham
Cissé 32 min- Liverpool 1-2
Steven Gerrard 54 min- Liverpool 2-2
Konchesky 64min- 2-3 West Ham
Gerrard 91min- Liverpool 3-3

Liverpool with 4-2 on penalties.

Now Gerrard was unbelievable. Man of the amtch by a mile, notable mention to Yossi Benayoun and Reo-coker.

Now over 90 minutes West Ham deserved the win without doubt. but Steven Gerrard was socred a wonder goal in the last few minutes, a 35 yard volley. Sorry Frank, but you're good but this guy surpasses you.

Reina got cuahgt out for the last two West Ham goals but made up for it with a wonder save after 118 minutes and then saving 3 penalties.

you have to feel sorry for West Ham though. I'll try to find the goals.

An entertaining match to watch. Goals just flows in the match and Gerrard has once again show why he'd worth the PFA award & simply the best captain.

Btw, wheres the rule that keepers can't rush out of the goal line when pk? Reina was a bit too out everytime he saves the ball.

As I said in the West Ham thread, I feel for West Ham because they played so well beeing the underdogs aswell. Heartsbroken, even I was a little shocked as a neutral, when Gerrard's shot flew in 3 minutes before final whistle.

Than again Liverpool(read: Gerrard) did very well in coming back two times.
Best FA Cup final in years for a neutral.

Christ, all these finals are not good for my nerves as a Liverpool fan!

Fantastic game, wouldn't have been ashamed to loose to a very spirited and determined West Ham side. In the end I think Stevie was just a level above everyone else - great goals, both of them. Reina played pretty badly, but made up for it with the penalty saves and that extra time save. (wasn't it 3-1 on penalties and not 4-2, or is my memory going?)

One of the best finals in a very long time. Better than Istanbul? Maybe. And I never thought I'd say that for another decade or 2.

Steven Gerrard, he will win England the world cup. What a goal. To be honest, I was quite pissed off when he swung his leg back.

I'll remember this for a looong time, as long as my liver lets me.

Gerrard's goal is something out of this world. As I said in another topic, that has to be in my top 10. Score from more than 30 yards, and in the 90' minute, and with fatigue all over him...man.

I want a clip of that. His best goal so far was against Olympiakos...but this one surpasses that one by some 10 miles.

wow gerrard did everything. Set up the first, scored the 2nd with a beauty strike, and the 3rd goal was just amazing. Cant wait to see him perform at the world cup.
