THIS PATCH IS THE WORST PIECE OF JUNK I'VE EVER ADDED TO MY FIFA, IT RUINED FIFA TOTALLY AND I HAD TO RE-INSTALL EVERY SINGLE THING INCLUDING WINDOWS XP. AVOID THIS PATCH AT ALL COST!!!!! :kader:

Hi guys

Please can you help us here.

We have received a number of disturbing reports that people are finding a virus in the first of the three installation packs. It's called W32.Wullyk@mm, "a mass-mailing worm that attempts to send itself to all the contacts in the Windows Address Book and may also spread through network shares", according do Symantec's virus database.

I have checked the file with my McAfee VirusScan product and there is no virus reported at all.

Please can you post any help or advice you have with this here.

why the patch does not work:

1 install 3 *.exe into ..\EA SPORTS\FIFA06(data)folder according to the installer.

2.run 2006 FIFA WORLD CUP PATCH.bat

3. click on build button to build *.big,and then close it.

4 the "pause" promts in the cmd window

But there is no worldcup option in tourment mode->rest tourment

ps : i have installled fifa in full mode,and try many times.

Hi guys

Thanks for your help with this but it looks like some Anto Virus scanners pick this file up with a virus attached and some don't.

I have spoken with Shahab about creating a clean version and he has informed me that he has decided to make new World Cup Patch which will include an update in the next 2 weeks.

It should be worth waiting for as you will then be able to select and play in the World Cup.
