It's not justified, but I don't really feel I need to justify myself, I am merely expressing my opinion.

::shinji:: said:Did I read that right? Should we start a petition asking the Benfica board of directors to concede that Liverpool is far superiour, and therefore should automatically go through without the need for two obviously pointless games?
I've seen some pompous stuff in this forum, but that's pretty f*cked up when you can't even accept that some fans at least have some hope in their team, despite being underdogs...
Not one person here said Liverpool was an "easy" draw. Regardless of who we got at this stage of the CL, we were always going to have the odds against us heavily. So whatever, we have nothing to lose, Liverpool has a title to defend....we'll have definitely tremendous home support and a warrior attitude going into this draw.

I can't believe some Benfica fans have confidence in this game. Our attack is fluent, and as soon as Crouch n Morientes start scoring consistantly (if) then our attack will be great.
I expect us to destroy Benfica. To win by at least 3 goals on aggregate.

hm... actually they did come back in that game and were leading the aggregate for a long time. The mistake by the referee that I am referring to is allowing Terry's goal when the keeper was obviously obstructed. The sideline ref even raised his flag, crapped his pants, and then put it down. But, I don't want to start an argument about it; I meant the comment in good humor. Hopefully Barca will build enough of a lead this time that it can't come down to the referee. And I agree, many things out of the teams' control could determine the winner but I can't see Barca losing without a huge stroke of bad luck. That's my humble opinion. Either way it's going to be the best matchup of the entire tournament.pede54 said:The referee?......what did he do apart from send off Drogba?.....At Stamford bridge we got 3 goals in the first 20 minutes .This was our first CL as a new team, while Barca was a pretty settled squad. They performed a miracleous comeback though but it wasn't enough.Remember Ronaldhinho and Eto were on fire last season too, but it still was not enough to beat us.Nobody knows what will happen until the day comes.Maybe Deco will dive 6 times, get 6 penalties and thats us out.Maybe Carvalho will do something stupid and get sent off.Who knows. It will be a great 2 games, full of drama and excitement. What more can one ask for.We do not fear one another, although i can only speak for Chelsea fans of course, and we are looking forward to it.
