Goal!!!! No, it didn't go in! Goal!

I rarely play Career Mode or Manager Mode as it's now known because frankly, it's too long . So I usually just play small tournaments and friendlies etc... But because you can start out with a Premiership team in 06 I decided to actually try and finish a season. So after setting up as Fulham, the first game is against Spurs and I start the game. First minute they put a cross in, and Defoe is on the end of it. The ball goes about 5 feet wide of the goal, and Defoe runs off with the crowd cheering. The goal is given. Right then and there, I quit. Makes it hard for me to try and play Manager Mode again.

I've always found there are few flaws like that with FIFA. A huge dissapointment.

i havent had this and ive played many games in Career Mode..

quite sh*tty really, game like that ruined by a little fault like this. happened to me once playing agaist a mate, lol he was quite annoyed coz it won me the game and we were doing a fifa lounge.

I think this is really a Major Bug of FIFA 06, EA should absolutely fix it.

Well I consider my self lucky playin almost 40 Complete matches plus the intervene's in visual sim and not havin this happen once
but did any one try to know what kind of plays that cause this bug (somethin commen in all that bug occurences !!)
like a cross from a certain place and a header from that place will result in this bug if it goes wide,etc..
i for example memorized this pattern for a CPU wing attack that always results in a goal ( one player goes from the wings and and plays a cross to an attacker comin from behind right in the middle of the defense and plays it in with his head "no matter where it is placed in the goal it goes in the keeper just stretches and lets go past him "even if he can save it )

I was playing a league match in FIFA 06 for PS2, Marseille vs Lyon, A Juninho header went to the left of the goal but i was awarded a goal, that was quite a glitch id say, it was definately obvious from the replays it was not in, but was called a goal....Has anyone else had this happen to them?

I had that aswell, but it was FOR me instead. Barnet 0 - 1 Southampton. My goal by Ricardo Fuller went in and it was fantastic to know i finally got a draw to go top.

I had this for the second time, but this time it was not in the manager mode.

Twice in career mode, no of them from me, all were from a CPU shot on target, sucks but doesn't happen too often, so no problem i guess
