FIFA 06 - XBox 360

Ok, I know FIA 06 RTWC for the XBox 360 is out now (one week before hte machine!) but when is the generic version of FIFA 06 going to be released on the XBox 360. I've read various dates but I don't have a link for a definite release. They were going to have to re-render all of the stadiums and player models which is why it isn't a luanch title but other than that I haven't heard of any major improvements.

Anybody with more info???

XBOX 360 version is crap. Got a 6 review at Gamespot, only has 72 international teams, half of which are European, and no club teams. You only get to do the UEFA qualification, no American, Asian, or African.You also can't play the world cup. Don't waste your time on it.

Got the game today (with my 360 ;) ) and I like it more than the PS2 version, of course there isn't a big difference in the gameplay, but there are tons more animations that I noted for both keepers and players alike. Sadly, they did not add the option of changing game speed, just the default level. The ball has more flight to it which is good, only the generic black and blue EA balls though. Of the nine stadiums, 4 are generic..then there is Bernabeu, Old Trafford, Olympistadion Berlin, Della Alpi and Milan

It will tie me over until the next Fifa or WE9i..which will be backwards compatible and playable in 720P

Well I wont take the 6/10 too much to heart because on IGN there giving al the 360 games like 6-7/10 I havent seen anything over 7.5/10 so for me I dont think any of the games released so far are any good. I say wait until next year to really judge FIFA. Because I think this is only a filler title, which microsoft wanted EA to create a quick game just for the luanch, look at Madden and Live both games got bad scores too and arent as good as the current gan games.


Im going to wait for the PS3 and FIFA 2007

I too bought the 360 and FIFA 06 RTWC today. True, it is not nearly as deep as FIFA 06 for xbox content and feature-wise, but to my surprise it is actually still fun to play. Some of the player models and coaches look incredible (Cristiano Ronaldo and Scolari look incredible); however, some faces are still a little bit off (Maniche looks bloated and 30 pounds heavier and Figo has a strange mullet...can you guess I've been playing as Portugal?)

The lack of features definately hurt the game but if they can correct a few camera issues and make the game deeper, I have a feeling Fifa 07's going to be great.

In G4's TV special hyping the Xbox 360 launch not a word was mentioned about FIFA. They were critical of Madden, so you know, given the reviews, they would have ripped FIFA, alienating Microsoft and EA in the process....I intend to buy the Xbox 360 once more Xbox titles are made compatible and the 07 versions of FIFA, Madden, NCAA Football and NBA 2k are on the shelves. Those versions will seem less like ports. I'm enjoying FIFA06 and NCAA06 too much!

Not many. I think you can expect to find Brasil Argentina and Colombia, but more than half of the 72 teams in the game are European. You also can't do the CONCAF or CONCACAF tournaments.

so the gamnes not worth buying??? i mean im not going to buy the 360 only for fifa. call of duty and pgr3 are really good games.. should i get fifa06??

If you are not sure, give it a rent first, all I can say is the atmosphre and graphics are superb and the gameplay has been given a minor tightening up...if you like 06 then you will like this version

the game got lower reviews than it should because of the lack of gameplay modes. The gameplay in itself is not bad.. I would give it an 8
