Yup! I would take that although I dont mind the graphics as i'm so impressed with the playability. You know when you have loads of games on your puter that you like so you start with your favourite then round the night off with one last game, its this game to start and round off. No other footie game gets a look in now.
Improvements that I would like to have seen. Player switching -you still cant switch players when the ball is in the air, and the switching options need to be between the nearest 3 not the 2 the computer gives you the option of, and it needs to be more consistent as it sometimes switches to a player further away who cannot influence the immediate ball. Also sometimes when you cross the ball and try to attack it with a player in the area, he just runs parallel to the flight of the ball and you cant attack it. He should still try to attack if thats what i asked with the controller and if he cant reach then he'll miss, but I will see that he did as I asked with the controller and people will be less likely to say its scripted. And sometimes when the ball breaks loose in the area from a saved shot, the nearest forward backs away from the ball even though I am controlling him towards it. Why do they script this, it is not natural for the player to do this? Surely he should move to the ball and if I dont press the correct button timely -pass/shoot -he just fails and the defender gets the ball.
However, still imensely playable.

Another thing is the defenders do not come up for corners and its the same old players that score . Players are one footed , has anyone noticed when the team your playing with clear the ball it goes straight to the opposition, but when they clear its straight to them everytime sucks man . I recon ea should make the AI copy some of your patterns and add them to thier game play ????? How about some cut sceens when players have a go at the linesmen ????? I also heard that the goal keeper can get injured and sent off no sign of that in the demo yet anyone heard or seen this yet ?? 
Your right Macca, an option to choose which defenders go up for corners would be good. Also I have noticed that when you clear the ball after a corner, straight to the opostition most 85% of the time, from your corner it clears to their player almost every time. And that cancel button, only works when it feels like?

I found the gameplay, very tricky to get hold of, The players move way to quick as far as shimmies, they seem to turn on the spot and carry on running, like he in between animation has not been done. I had 8 shots on goal and all 8 went in, all from distance. i hoped they would have worked on that.
shiney heads, poor poor faces. low res or not...it should atleast look like them. swap player and pass on the same button? i played one match and uninstalled it. i also have the pes5 demo. and that... plays and acts like a dream compared to this.
i used to be Mr Fifa untill i played pes3. and since then all fifa's seem a total waste.

Let me put it this way (as a Pro Evo fan):

IMO, Fifa 2006 has taken quite a few things from WE/PES. Although they don't implement it exactly, but it's obvious they use it as a backbone. Freekick system. They removed the old one. Corner kick system.(some may say it's like fifa 99's but this shows they know that the one they had in fifa 2005 was disapproved by many) The controls are also almost like WE/PES to a certain extent. Which is good since I can config my controller easily. The whole gameplay has slightly a WE/PES feel to it. Not exactly ofcourse. But just a slight percentage. Long balls, shooting, passing. Even they ave got the lofted through ball which have kind of the same button combination like in WE/PES. There are some nice features that WE/PES could implement in their game too like being able to move the wall position and adding men to the wall. Overall I'm really looking to get into Fifa 2006 competitively and join my country's WCG national finals. Since WE/PES would be available for WCG unlike this year which was available in the National Finals since Singapore is hosting the Grand Finals. I might just try to get fifa 2006 and play it for awhile till PES5 PC is released for me to start the online leagues. This means I might get into a FIFA 2006 game for the first time since Fifa 99. Graphics in FIFA has still got too much light to it. There was a time even in the demo, where the lighting was not spread equally making the ball become some sort of black shiny ball. During a cutscence when Milan was about to take a freekick. Then during the freekick screen it became white again. Player model still poor. Appearance too. Kits nothing spectacular. Especially without the brand of the kit maker of the teams not shown. Atleast WE/PES have the full kit with brands for the licensed teams. Then again there's where patch makers comes in.
Final Verdict: Fifa 2006 in the right direction. But still behind WE/PES. Still the game has improved.

just got ps2 demo it stinks, i hope they have a setting for game speed in full version as it is way to fast seems as if its fifa 2005 in discquise whats happening at ea you should employ someone who knows how to play football :
