So do I. They've had height and weight in the code for years, but left it out of the game as they hadn't found the right way to use it. I guess they must feel they have a way now.

well according to my doctor i'm stopping growing heightwise now already and i'm 16, so the height difference is only going to be a couple of cms.

What WOULD be immensley cool would be that if a player has a long term injury they put on weight :p. That would be awesome :D

I grew at least 15 cm after my 16th.

I did read somewhere that players gain weight when on a (summer) break, and need to do some work in pre-season to lose it again.

i hope those regenerate players don't have some weird stats such as 200kg but 20 for pace, acceleration and stamina :D

i have mix feeling on the psp version. i doubt what they can come out for it. since the psp version can't be patch and you can't add some graphical stuff on it as well. it lose the cool of self editing for the game at first. then for sure FM2006 will need large amount of data loading during the game. it could be as annoying as WE9: UE that have loud and noisy sound from the UMD dock which cause by frequently read data from UMD

I have a bit the feeling that it will be like CM Solo. Just not the type of game you need on that console.

is there any news or screenshots of the psp version of this game?
There are a few old work in progress screenshots on the net, we'll be releasing some new updated shots at some point before release - but at the moment we're concentrating on getting the game finished and as good as possible :D

Its not going to be anywhere as simplistic as a mobile phone game.

The PSP version is aimed to be around the complexity of the CM3 series of games, ie. realistic, fun to play and much faster than the FM PC product.

Its got several leagues to select from and shares the database from the PC game to ensure that the data used is as realistic as possible, we've also shared a lot of the PC games AI routines etc. for the same reason.

The interface from it was also given a heck of a lot of throught before work on the game itself began to ensure that its as intuitive and easy to get around as possible (which I think we've achieved - most people who are given it to play can simply pick it up and get going without having to read a manual or similar).

Hope this helps,

Marc

The PSP game won't ship with an editor in the first version, subsequent versions we're hoping to allow editing - but obviously there's a certain amount of negotiation with Sony required for this (as they're naturally paranoid about external data being read in by games - after all its over-runs from that sort of thing which allowed the first lot of PSP hacks through).

With regards to UMD access we've been very sneaky with compression on the game and have minimised UMD access as much as possible to ensure that (1) its very fast to startup and (2) its very fast to play and doesn't have any paused during gameplay .... see there is an advantage to me being an old git who used to do DOS programming back in the days when 640k was a lot of memory ;)

PS> In case you lot aren't aware the PSP has 32Mb of memory onboard (24 usable by games) - this is comparable with a lot of PC's which existed when CM3 was released ... for a handheld its ludicrously powerful :D

are you work for SI? that's cool though. btw, what can an editor do for the psp ver (if the future version does come along with an editor)? since we can't write data on UMD, then i assumed that we can't even edit or install the latest graphical add-on in the game such as skin, club's logo and kits and etc. like we usually do on pc version
