Stats and why you can't trust them.

That's a pretty suprising statistic. I stand corrected. How about the second part of my question...

which of the new features in 2006 do the lads at SI believe will have the biggest impact on the gameplay? Do you have an opinion there?

While I'm at it, have you ever thought of putting a Maxim Tsigalko type 'superstriker' back in the game in one of the future versions?
Ever since 01/02 people have been searching for the 'new Maxim' . I know a player that is that efficient is a bit unrealistic from the simulation perspective but It would be great to have a Maxim Tsigalko type legend back again. People who considered the player cheating would not have to use him, as many didn't in 01/02 with Maxim but I think that many would also love to see a 'superstriker' back in the game. 4 years on and people still speak of the original sentimentally, which is incredible for a computer game when you consider it. It would also be a bit of fun trying to discover the player's identity.

Cavenaghi could often turn super-good, but admittidly Tsigalko is sadly missing from FM.

From what ive heard personally i'd love the media engine to play a larger effect on games, i get fed up of hearing people say they NEVER say anything to the media; which manager has never said anything to the media in the real world?

So Tom, is Marc likely to be back here at any point? It was good having one of the SI team here. Maybe you can persuade him to come back at regular intervals so that we can shove some more of our innane ideas at him.

all i can say is that from my experience the SI members try to spread themselves evenly around the surrounding forums, e.g. stuff like CM gamer and TD. Marc does visit here quite often and this thread seems to be of interest to him, so who knows! It would be nice to have an SI person visit here every week

I pop into most forums every now and then, although I generally only post if I see something in particular which I think needs clarifacation or I've got something particular I want to bring to peoples attention (also bear in mind FM2006 is getting closer to release now so I'm fairly busy on that ... understatement of the year ).

I'm lurking around quite often too, although like Marc, a little on the busy side getting these games ready for you guys to enjoy.

Well, any time that you lads have spare after the new game is out will be appreciated by everybody here I'm sure. Just as long as the new game has a reminder that Liverpool are now CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE on every single menu screen then I'll be happy.
