I see what you're saying Doug, but out of 10 defenders in the squad, Clancy is one of the two worst, the other being this guy (on the market so I can post his stats no problem):



The average stats of a defender in the squad currently look like this:

Considering Clancy has 6 stamina, 6 intel, 6 ball control and 6 cross balls, I think he is just as good as the average defender :)

Well, he will be when he gets his 8th speed ;)

yeah - you're right paul, maybe randy with 2 more spd balls might squeak it.

i reckon my best possible first team (from a cost strategy point of view) is probably 11 players who are just on the edge of the national squad! No national team players = no 2m pound stars but they're not really worth it!!

Though to make up for it I'm odds on for going bankrupt now :)

Bought for 928k, well happy with this one - he's loads better than that argie i had before him. :D



Got this guy purely for cheapness, really. He cost 382k and thats value for money! He's been playing well and finally gives my team some solidarity.

bought this guy for 1.2 million AUD after selling the other guy for 1.5 million, sacrificed age obviously but i dont plan on staying in this game for ever so think i have made a decent purchase just needs to get some form now ;(

that 23 yr old was the slowest training player i have .... he sucked. i dont have the patience to wait and in 6 seasons have a star. btw, i bought him with 1 less passing ball, midway through last year for 500k
