Career Mode UCL

Just want to clarify something, I got the game it seems to be not bad at all. I start a career and the only teams I can use are from England, Italy, GErmany, Spain or France !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the **** is that all about. Basically I can do a career and get the most out of the game if i play as, southampton for example. Not in the CL, probably wont ever be but I can use them. I want to play as Celtic in career mode, no option. In the Champions LEague, probably will be next year, not available in the main part of the game. Bravo EA bravo. I can select to play a CHampions League tournament with Celtic( Not full Career version) what happens, Random groups ( Always with S>donetsk though oddly) This is a joke, an absolute joke.

Konami should make fifa,that would be brilliant.

cl 2005

I felt that CL 2005 was a big improvement over fifa 2005 however the game still falls short to PES4 or even PES3 gameplay wise. CL 2005 would be great if they improved the gameplay a bit more( such as more variation in shooting and scoring goals as they seem to be limited and even more sharper control)CL 2005 has a fairly good career mode (season mode) but this can get boring after you carry out many of the sometimes repetitive tasks. I really like the suitation mode but an ideal could have been to add past suituation mode such as man utd vs bayern munich 1999 cup final when thay score at the last minutes of the game. (brilliant !)
EA is improving at lot while Konami seem to be slowly improving their game. CL 2005 give the gamer a realistic experience of the champions league therefore its a game worth getting. Let hope EA can improve the gameplay and make FIFA 2006 the bset football game ever.

IMO is career mode in UCL a load of crap. You have to sell so many players from the team you choose it doesn’t even feel like my team anymore. I play Arsenal, and had to sell: Paddy, Bobby, Iceman, Campbell, Reyes, Lehmann and Gilberto. The new players I bought are not bad, but it doesn’t feel like Arsenal to me. The situations they have scripted are more of an annoyance than enjoyable. For instance when you start a new match you find yourself in the middle of the game, with one player red carded and 2-1 the score line, the new owners goal is to beat them with 3 goals. They also left out the possibility for LAN or direct IP play. The way I see this game, it falls into the category of just another moneymaking scheme from EA.

My verdict stay clear of it, there are much better footygames out there, PES3 or 4 are way better.

You don't have to sell your best players man. I'm also playing with Arsenal and I've sold Bergkamp, Edu, Toure, van Persie, Flamini, Lupoli and Taylor.

Totaly agree no4vieria, the career mode is the biggest load of ****e i've seen in a game ever.
I play as Chelsea and want to keep my players, not sell them coz i have no choice. You could put a transfer market in the game for those that want to offload some players but the career game doesn't even give you a choice, you got to sell. Also like said earlier about taking over a game half way through with ur side losing and a player sent off!! my first thoughts were what the **** is this, its terrible i bought the game for me to play not finish off some other ******* game. If you want scenario's in the game then fair enough but dont base the single player game on it.

Oh the radio sucks also, first it was intresting now just annoying, seems they only have about 5 different calls, i've heard them so much its getting a bit repetitive.
On the plus side the game play isn't to bad though

Agree the gameplay is probably one of the best yet in a Fifa game, but it still falls short to Fifa 98. All the scripting, like players running after ball even if you don’t want them to are irritating. I want full freedom, and occasionally foul a person (keeper) when the ref is not watching.

I actually had to. And I used about an hour ++ just to get the right price for them. I play on world class, and my players, like Henry for instance was not worth more than 11, Iceman 8, Lupoli was worth 2 and so on. I did buy the services of Maakay, Ronie, Gerrard, Rio, Casillias (spelled right?) and Stam. I believe there is one other player too. Can't remember. I have already given up career mode.

How can I see my position on table (including CL and national league) during season?

You only play a few leauge matches so there are no tables for the premiership. After every CL match you can see your position. I don't think you can see them anywhere else.

well after reading peeps views i will stay clear of this game!!
