well if we get Lisandro Lopez I'll be happy, seems like he's a much better finisher than Maxi.

He'll probably accept Barça's offer which is stupid because he'll be riding the bench for 6 months and then will probably be loaned out to a random club.

Yeah, I'm also pretty sure he'll choose Barça (I even heard on the radio just now him saying that he prefers Barcelona), but he'll be the one who will end up being prejudiced if he goes there...

I'll not be surprised if Maxi choose Barça cause i think he's not stupid, can we even compare the dimension of the 2 clubs?

well, ofcourse you couldn't resist that little shot, could you? I'm sure if he'd went to Porto, then it would have been a brilliant decision...Diego, Quaresma, Postiga & Fabiano's careers have just blasted off since joining FCP..

If Maxi does choose Barcelona, then I think he IS stupid. Regardless of what club he joins now, whether it's Benfica or another, he'll be at a big club like Barcelona in a couple years anyhow, and he'll be more adapted to playing in Europe then. If he went to Barcelona now, I'm willing to bet he'd sit on the bench 95% of the time and end up bitter and labelled a flop like Quaresma.

Nuno Assis apresentado amanhã na Luz
Está confirmada a transferência de Nuno Assis para o Benfica. O jogador já foi retirado da convocatória do Vitória de Guimarães e chega à Luz, via Dínamo de Moscovo, devendo ser apresentado amanhã, antes do jogo com o Beira-Mar (21 h).

A notícia foi avançada esta noite pela Rádio Renascença (RR). Nuno Assis vai mudar-se para o Benfica, a partir de amanhã, tendo sido retirado da lista de convocados do Vitória de Guimarães, que recebe amanhã o Moreirense, em jogo da 18.ª jornada da Superliga. A transferência envolve uma verba de 600 mil euros, mas são pagos ao Vitória pelo Dínamo de Moscovo, num negócio cujos contornos ainda não são conhecidos.

Paralelamente, a transacção envolve um jogo entre V. Guimarães e Benfica, agendado para 31 de Junho deste ano, cuja receita reverterá para o clube minhoto.

O Vitória de Guimarães informou o Sporting, detentor do direito de opção sobre Nuno Assis, sobre os contornos da transferência, mas os «leões» não exerceram esse direito.

O presidente do Vitória de Guimarães, Vítor Magalhães, confirmou a transacção à RR, mas escusou-se a revelar pormenores sobre a transferência de Nuno Assis para o Benfica, via Dínamo de Moscovo.

how can u say that maxi will be on the bench for Barca. they only have 1 striker, so if he goes there he'll be the # two choice. If u compare things Benfica have more strikers than Barca, who are already used to playing in Portugal (Mantorras, Gomes, Karadas) How do u know he won't rot on the bench at Benfica.

Kaka could have gone tp PSG or Milan, he choose the bigger team and look at the player he has become. To say that a player will rot on the bench for Barca is extremelly ignorant.

How about we just give you Savi for about 6.5 Million Euros and you pull out of the race for Maxi.
