In anticipation of henry retiring at Arsenal I upgraded my scouts to level 10 and strikers coach to level 10 thinking that I would get a mad replacment... when he retired I got a 19 yr old striker with skill rating 69.. and ronaldinho replacement was 19 and rated 70 and gerrard's replacement was rated 65 and 18 y.o.. I thought they would be at least 80 to start with... has this happened to anyone else??

it varies. i couldnt get Emre and Ronaldinho replacements because they didnt have enough players
You got to give them time to build up their skill, Don't forget Henry didn't really burst onto the football scene till he was about 22-23, the same goes with Ronaldinho. These new players you have will probably have excellent skill ratings by the time they reach their peak. Don't forget give them as many games as you can to speed up the process.

i have had replacements that i bought who were 2 stars so were out of the team. and they can stay there for a couple of seasons before suddenly shooting up with their stars
