Career Mode 2005 Thread

Yeah not much but, like 200 points more. I hope Fifa 06 get back to dealing with money again.

Loved the way in Fifa 03, sell ur players, get money, buy players

What I'll have to do then is create about 5 'youth' players before I start my next career, put them in a crappy team, sell them all off, and buy 2 decent players and have money left over.

Yeh that'll be a smart way but make sure you'd put those created players NOT on the starting lineup.

right now im near the end of the second season with rangers im just simming my way through to the elite teams

Season 1: Toluca (Mexican League)
sorry i dont even remember the record or the players but i won the two trophies and earned my first star with i was happy with.

Season 2: Rangers (Incomplete)
Simmed Destroyed the League with a 7 point lead over Celtic which made me happy but I lost the EFA to Inter Milan in the finals... I still cant believe that they beat Man U with a agg. of 4-0
With the last game against Celtic in the cup final imkinda worried that I am not gonna be able to make my second star which causes my options to dim but ehh whatever its simming until I am back where i once was....

Ronnifan, you didn't use a big font to begin with, NT2005 has lost his mind.

I have 2 games left in my 2nd season with West Ham, I won the EPL, I beat Liverpool on penalties to with the Carling cup, and I've got to play Rangers in the UEFA Cup final and Arsenal in the FA Cup final. Hopefully I'll win both so I have more money for a defender and more upgrade points for my staff.

I'm thinking of buying Lillian Thuram's replacement or possibly Roberto Carlos' replacement. I might end up buying Nigel de Jong, but I think I'll opt for Thuram's replacement, because I think he'll end up being better quality.

During the January Transfer window, I sold one of my midfielders and bought Edgar Davids' replacement. He's a great tackler, and his ball control is superb. I'm going to keep him in my defensive midfield position until Patrick Vieira retires, then I'm going to sell Davids' replacement and buy Vieira's replacement.

I'm still playing with my 2 original West Ham strikers, Zamora and Harewood until Trezeguet or Henry retire, then I'm going to buy one of their replacements.

Slowly but surely my team is on its' way to being world class, but it takes quite a bit of time when you spend 20,000-25,000 points on each player.

I just finshed my 9th season and i'm with Arsenal i have all the STARS.

I was wondering where you've been Olly. Good to hear that you're 5 stars now. I'm sure I'd be right there with you if I hadn't deleted my career with Arsenal. But oh well, I've got one with West Ham (2 stars), Norwich (2 1/2 stars) and Birmingham (1 1/2 stars).

Mostly, I play with West Ham, but sometimes I'll play my other ones.

Retirement Ages

Perhaps this should be in career thread, but is there a specific age that players retire at??

I've got a couple around 32/33, they must retire at the end of the season I reckon....

Career Mode, Player Changes

If you have created a player for fifa 2005, and have started a career mode, can you go back to the menu, and make some changes to this player.. i.e. boots etc...and will those changes take affect in the career mode... btw.. i do not use any editors or patches..

Ive got an idea, u know how the Juventus Thread Members have a special sig, we could do the samething with Career mode tHREAD,

No, you would have to restart your career again.

No not really..............

I sold one of my left backs and bought Roberto Carlos' replacement at the end of the season. Hopefully I'll have enough money to buy Lillian Thuram's replacement come the end of this season.

I won the Community Shield and the European Super Cup. Hopefully I can win the Champions League this year.
