PES4 Sponsor/Emblem Editing - Beginners Step-by-Step Guide

FULHAM (Home)

Kit Design - The kit can be created pretty accurately with the desins below. The shirt has colours: White, Black, White.
The shorts have a diagnal line across them with colours: Black, White, Red.
The socks colours are: White, Black.

Sponsor Editor - Here i've used all slots available. I used the 1st text layer for "dabs" using the largest font (3rd font down). Each of the other text layers were used for the "c" "o" and "m". I could push them closer together doing it this way.
The first logo layer was using for the dabs logo and the final layer was used for the puma logo.

dabs.com logo - 8x zoom. Here i used the whole of the canvas area available more or less so you will have to scroll up or down when creating. The pic below i've just taken 2 pics and put them together.

Puma logo - I used whistles puma design for a template for this. So thanks go to him.

Final Home Shirt -

FULHAM BADGE

Here i used a modified version of AndyRaeside's (from neoseeker) excellent template. It's basically the same but the FFC text seemed a bit thick so i removed the black lines and edited here and there. Thanks go to andy though for the initial template.

FULHAM (Away)

Kit Design - This is the closest I could find, it looks ok but the white line continues right down the sides of the shirt. There may be another so check first.
Colours used: Light Blue, White, Black.
Shorts: Not sure if these shorts are accurate but they look ok. Colours: White, Black, Black.
Socks: Chose ones with a thin stripe near the top. Colours: Light Blue, Black.

Sponsor Editor - Here I changed all the layers to White, assuming you already did the home kit. The downside is because the home strip has the badge in the middle, so you are stuck with it for the away strip. Unless of course you put the badge on the right for both home and away. Up to you.

Final Away Shirt - Again you can't do anything about the badge being in the middle, unless you change the position on the home shirt also.

Great work. When I get PES4 I know what I'm going to look for. I'll make this thread a sticky.

Is there anyway to change the fonts? I think that the Arsenal O should be bigger while the Bolton and Fulham text should be slightly smaller.

But really great work, the kit editor they've put in this year seems excellent.

Andrew there are only 7 fonts altogether, You can't select a size for each, the 7 are just different sizes. It's very limited :(

ASTON VILLA (Home)

Kit Design - This design is the nearest one you are going to get I think. You can't get the arrows down the sleeves.
1st Colour: Last Row, 7th Across
2nd Colour: Last Row, 7th Across
3rd Colour: Top Row, 3rd Across
The Shorts have a large strip down the side. Colours: White, White, Last Row-7 across.
The Socks have a stripe at the top. Colours: White, Top Row-3 Across.

Sponsort Editor - Here I used all layers. I used DWS on 3 different layers so I could space them out. The logo layers were used for the "C" and also for the "investments" text.
The 1st text layer was used for the "hummel" sponsor. 6th font down.
The 2nd text layer was used for the "D". 2nd font down.
The 3rd text layer was used for the "W". 2nd font down.
The 4th text layer was used for the "S". 2nd font down.

CDWS logo - 8x zoom. Here you will have to scroll up and down the canvase to get it all on.

Investments Logo - 8x zoom

ASTON VILLA (Away)

Kit Design - This kit design seems ok and looks decent enough.
1st Colour: White
2nd Colour: Last Row, 7th Across
3rd Colour: Last Row, 7th Across
The shorts are the same design as the home. Colours: Top Row-6th Across, Top Row-6th Across, Bottom Row-7th Across.
The socks had 2 stripes at the top. Colours: White, Bottom Row-7th Across.

Sponsor Editor. This was the same as the home strip. Except the hummel text was changed to black. And the rest of the text and logos were changed to the following shade of blue:
R,G,B: 0,47,110

ASTON VILLA BADGE

This was based on another one of AndyRaeside's (from neoseeker) templates. It's more or less exactly the same so all credit goes to him for this.

Also the badge will need to be made smaller in layer edit mode when you have finished else it will look really big on the shirt.

Thanks for making it a sticky mate.

I did reply above but there's a lot of posts between now and then lol You're only limited to 7 fonts in the editor, you cant select different sizes of each, you're stuck with 7 fonts of various sizes. It's very limited :(

I have posted an alternate way in the Arsenal thread on how to make the O larger :)

NEWCASTLE BADGE

The badge will be too big on the shirt once this is done, resize it in layer mode.

Also the background is pink as I changed the window colour so I could see the greys and whites.

NEWCASTLE (Home)

Kit Design - DO NOT change the strip from default, just go straight to the sponsor edit area.

Sponsor editor - Here i used 3 text layers and 1 logo layer.
The first text layer was "northern". 2nd font down. blue colour
The 2nd text layer was "rock". 2nd font down. blue colour.
The 3rd text layer was "northern". 2nd font down. white colour. This is so you can have a slight 3D look on the northern part of the sponsor.
The logo layer was used for the adidas logo.

Adidas Logo - This was based on Whistles design so the thanks go to him.

Hello all,

First post on a new forum... the air is fresh and clean.

I'd just like to put my two pence worth in on methods for editing badges etc in pes4.

Team Emblems

1) Download emblem from here...

http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/
They seem to have most of the major clubs.

2) Import the .eps into Photoshop or similar. Make sure you crop right to the edges of the logo.

3) Resample the image so it is 48 pixels in height (the maximum height of an emblem in pes4).

When you do this, I recommend sampling down in stages (i.e. if your original was 600 pixels high, go to 300 pixels, then run the sharpen filter, then 150 pixels, sharpen, then 100 pixels, sharpen then size down to 48 pixels. This seems to give better results than a straight resize).

4) Set your photoshop grid have a gridline every 2 pixels and one line between. Zoom right into the image (or as far as you can go so it all fits on the screen).

5) Screen grab and the paste this into a new document. Crop and print out as large as you can. You now have a perfect pixel map of your teams logo!

At pixel size...

This was a method I came to from doing the great tutorial by dannyboy19. Without his really detailed guide I would not have thought of doing this. Follow his tutorial but I recommend this way for getting a really accurate badge.

Happy editing :)
