I'm new to the forums, my name's Danny Miller.

I've been a fifa fan since Fifa 2000.

I bought Fifa 2000, Fifa 2001, Fifa 2002, Fifa World Cup 2002, Fifa 2003.

I stopped buying at 2004, the game just kept getting worse.

I downloaded 2004, Euro 2004, and now 2005 Demo and modifying the INI files. Euro 2004 was a joke, (at least the demo was). The players had the SAME BUGS as the demo of fifa 2004 (I.E. players kept there hand raised at many points of the game)

Fifa 2005 I have to say is a big improvement. I really like the new defensive system, the transitions between animations (although quick), and the AI. But again, they keep messing up with the physics of the game (the ball sinks too quick!). Look on TV, you'll see whne a keeper kicks a goal kick it's in the air for like 3 seconds, while here it's like 1 second. Same with shooting.

I never liked the new free kick system (after they got rid of it in like 2002 i believe?) Computers that are not so powerful make it impossible for a player to make the kick. PLUS, if you were off by a milimeter on the green part the kicker would miss it.

I also am dissapointed from the penalty kick system, still using luck... There must be another way to do penalty kicks...

But I have since gotten used to it.

Some new problems in 2005:
A) It's quite funny, but even when you make a small shot from hundreds of yards out, the crowd gets quiet for a few seconds. The developers tried to make it quiet so if the player scored it'd be realistic, but if you make a small accidental shot from way out that is on the ground the crowd is quiet. PLUS, it's funny because when you score from close range the crowd goes wild AND THEN a few seconds later they go even wilder because the ambience sound from the crowd who was silent comes in.
B) Goal keeper animations just aren't realstic. TAKE OUT THAT MOTION CAPTURE OF THE KEEPER ON THe GROUN LUNGING FORWARD. I've never seen a keeper do that.
C) I couldn't hate the distant free kick system and goal kick system more. (This was also in 2004)
D) The keeper punts the ball too far! He doesn't ever punt it to a player! Only to the other teams defender!
E) Why can't I move after my opponent's keeper captures the ball? This happened in 2004, my player walks back automatically. I guess this was to fix the goalkeeper rolling the ball to my player by accident but figure another way around it!

I have to say that Fifa 2005 is the biggest imrpovement though overall since the improvement from 2000 to 2001 (when they finally made the field bigger).

Here are some goals I've recorded using Fraps. I hope you enjoy them!

www.k2xlgames.com/Other/Fifa2005/MovieA.wmv - I made it in like 5 minutes so it's not with treansitions or anything. It's about 5.5 megs too.

Nice thoughts, can agree a bit on freekicks but I think penaltys are getting better and better. I also like the new defensive play.

I've already:

1) Schooled the entire team and score
2) Bicycle kick and score
3) Air volley scored
4) Backwards headed score (as seen on movie at top)
5) Chipped ball over keeper goal. (Q and D)

But it was fun doing it :-).

I think it is more fun when the AI can do this. Then you really cant predict how to defend against him. The AI in 2004 never did any special moves or mixed the shot selection. I hope 2005 is different.

One thing that has buggd me since the release.

BIG ANNOYANCE:

THE CPU RARELY/NEVER SLIDE TACKLES!

I WANT TO TAKE FREE KICKS, I WANT TO BE FOULED MORE.

I go thru 10 games where I'm fouled maybe 1 time.

I think half of them were.

The first replay, where I school the entire team is on professional.

I put it on world class i can still do the same opening.

Also, I think at least a few of these goals are good (I forgot to include my bicycle kick one), but how about that backwards header goal from outside the box?

I agree. More fouls.

But about the sliding tackles it's good. It aint many in real either. In fifa 2004 and 2003 etc it was to many...

Well, I don't care about sliding tackles as long as I get fouled. I dribble around everywhere and barely get a free kick!

Play in a harder level or the full version when it comes out.

Yeah I tried different difficulty levels, they just play better defense lol.

Nice gifs, but next time render them as avi's, the gifs take up way to much space and loadtoo slowly.
