Weather in FIFA 2005 ?

I don't think we can have any confirmation as of yet that snow will be included.

EA usually put in images into the .big or whatever files, some of which don't make it into the game.

FIFA 2004 doesn't include rain but the ini file has variables for it and other code. So don't be dissapointed if snow doesn't make it in. :)

It seems that the Fifa 2005 WILL have various weather conditions, taken from EA;

The Absolute Broadcast: Enjoy brand-new camera angles, realistic weather effects, and improved contrast and lighting for players and stadiums.

The only weather effect is rain. There is no snow and I haven't heard from EA whether it's dynamic or not. But the good news is that the weather does affect how the game is played. The different weather effects changes how the players move, the ball reacts etc.

this takes me back to the good old days when FIFA used to rock FIFA RTWC 98 and World Cup 98 there was snow, sleet, rain you name it....you could almost play at dawn or dust as well as night and day it looked really cool

Maybe next year, I don't know. Obviously EA had lots more things to fix before they could concentrate on all sorts of weather. I've just heard that this year's weather is not dynamic, but at least there's rain and we know that it affects gameplay this year.

what's the difference between weather affecting gameplay and weather being dynamic

when weather affects gameplay it means that it isnt just a visual thing. the ball gets slower with wet ground or it suddenly stops in water. or your goalkeeper gives up more rebounds because the ball is so wet.....

dynamic means that it changes during game.
sunny when game starts - rainy when it ends you know;)
