Players will retire and new ones will be generated, although there hasn't been an explanation on how you will get the new players for your squad.

Well you will certainly be able to edit their gear, but I'm not sure about anything else. But I was more talking about how we will get them for our squad. Will they automatically be placed on our team, like they are coming from our youth team, or will we have to buy them from some sort of free agent pool? Or both?

Not as worried anymore after watching the producer diary 4, He talked about career mode for a little bit and he never once specified that you MUST start with a lower division team, this is a good sign but its not set in stone I'm still pretty worried...:(

Actually, I don't think you looked very close man. If you read the thing that comes up when he enters career mode, it says that as you go along, if you do well, teams of increasing stature will ask you to become their manager. And he starts as Bury. It looks like you will have to start with a lower side. But it actually looks really cool. I hope they use the newspaper (The Daily Star) feature a lot. Like for big victories, qualifying for Europe, or new signings, and not just when you get hired. That would be really cool. And the new visual sim looks great, I am very, very glad they included that feature. It will allow us to get through those early seasons with lower squads faster and move on to the big boys. And the career mode interface looks so much better too. :p

I just wanna play all 15 seasons with NUFC... thats all I want, and i want it to be DEEP and COOL, AND FUN AS HELL!!! I know that supposevly I WONT be able to do this, but they also said the same thing last year, and I never even got any offers from clubs after winning the treble several times... So hopefully Danny Issac the prophet will be wrong again ;) , hey it happened last year...

I'm with you man. I would just like the option of being who I want, but it looks like it is too late to go back now. You will have to work your way up to leading the Magpies.

One thing I noticed in the Spanish Campus video is that Serie A was in one of the regions when he was selecting his team to start with. So maybe there are some bigger clubs available to start with. I couldn't see all the regions, but I'm guessing that you can pick some clubs in the top divisions, but probably not the bigger clubs like ManU or Arsenal. So at least we don't have to start with strictly like Nationwide teams.

Yes and no. Notice the region he selected, the region of Portugal, Spanish 1 and 2 and Italia Serie A, B. But between those leagues he could choose low rated teams, aka few ones from Portugal, some of Spanish segunda and some of Italia Serie B. Notice they didn't show Region 2, probably that'll be the region of MLS, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, and guess K-League would end up there too, and probably the Polish league would go to Region 5.

Ah, so it shows that Serie A and La Liga are in that Region, but you can't pick any teams from those leagues to start. But I'm guessing if you take a team in say Serie B and your first year you get promoted, then I bet that right away you will have top flight job offers. At least that is what I am hoping. And hopefully it will be multiple offers and not just one, so you can have choices with the different sides offering different contracts and whatnot.

The other thing I am wondering about is the Regions themselves. I wonder if you start in a particular Region, you are more likely to get offered later jobs in that Region or if that makes no difference. I mean why the Regions? What's the significance after you have selected your team to start with? Surely there is something more to the regions other than a cute way to divide up the leagues when you are picking a club to start with. Could be something cool.

My guess is once you start with a team in a particular region, you stay within that region in the sense that you will only get offers from teams in your region and never leave that region. I think EA did this so they could focus the details of the career mode into one highly concentrated area. Let me explain: The world of football is HUGE and interconnected all of the big european leagues get players from all over the world every year. To simulate this would be extremly complicated 12,000 teams or whatever it is, all transfering (conservitivly) 5 players during each transfer window, thats 60,000 trasfers every time the trasfer window opens up. now lets scale that down to regions. approx. 100 teams in each region=500 transfers every opening of the TW. This is much easier to simulate and most of the transfers will be directly noticed by the user in his/her region. I bet outside of the regions the transfer market is very static unless you wish to collect a player from a team outside your region. This is all just complicated speculation, but if this is what EA is planning to do I like it!! :rockman:

Ah, but I think NUFC may be on to something. One thing that I hated about Career Mode last year was that you had no clue what was going on in all the other leagues and no other teams made transfers and the like. Understandably this is hard to simulate with there being so many teams and leagues around the world. So maybe you are only updated on the other teams and leagues that are in the region you are currently in. Valioso is definitely right about getting offers from all regions, they would not limit that.

Yeah I'll trust you guys if thats what they said in the spanish video, haha no doubt about that. But I think we got the region thing figured out.

Well I saw on the G4mers screenshots where it says to "pick a region in which your career will take place." This is in the directions that come up when you first enter Career Mode. To me that sounds like you will not be able to leave that region, but maybe I am reading too much into it.

I thought the same that you wouldn't be able to leave that region, but doesn't sound very logic. I think you'll be able to manage clubs from other regions later on.
