True to an extent, but it's not impossible. If you're really into MZ though to complain about it, you would most likely be in FL's - which can be used That's what I used to do...I finished last in everything lol.

Well, I guess it'll be when he gets his forum ban for stupidity...too bad he wont be able to write in forums then, but I think we'll hear about it.

Ofcourse, it wouldn't surprise me if he was so stupid to get a new name just to write in the forums about it.

In Italy we r experiencing a kind of riot...the newbies are complaining about everything , mostly about the impossibility to catch up the sweds or the bigger countries.

I get sick of newbie whining, I really do. Some people seem to expect they'll be world beaters from day one, then complain when they aren't...

End of the day, with the odd exception, the top clubs are where they are because the managers know what they're doing...

Sweden does have advantages, I've lobbied for player retirements to be made to remove the "super players" over time, which would help level the playing field a bit, especially at national level.

Well I thought the sim was originally good but...I beat a team 1-10 with the SC at 4-24...if that was with one of the older sims it would have been something like 0-3. Crazy...then some Argie beats me at their stadium 9-1...28-3 SC. By the way, they only got that because it somehow played a youth in defence with 1 speed, 2 stamina and 2 tackling who let everything through...I think I'm in self denial but I was mucking about before the match and put a load of crap on the bench, unaware that Nandy Scully got a yellow card in the last match... Still it shows that there are pretty much too many goals being scored. People are moaning about the free kicks but if players begin to shoot more again, we could have even more goals

One more thing, I've noticed that defenders on the wing can't tackle attackers. Whenever one guy catches up with one of the slow opposition, he just slows down and makes no attempt to tackle...then he speeds up again, and the circle continues. This cost me approx. 4 goals in my match with Florida and it cost GroooveRiders (other team I was playing) 2 goals against them from me.

EDIT: BTW I beat Florida 6-1 before this little update with the same tactic and players, dunno what's happened

It's not that more goals are being scored per se, more that the difference in skill levels has been emphasised more, and in particular the difference between low speed, stamina and higher levels.

Hence I either get stuffed or win 3-0 at the moment.

I wouldn't be surprised if a new sim revision arrives before end of season.

Yeah it didn't mention that but that's what I meant...was still in shock regarding that last result Crew will have to release a new sim or they will yet again be mauled by the newbs

Whatever they do they will get mauled by them, so it doesn't really matter.

And there's more like that... mainly I have around equal SC as my opponents and lose

My 9 ball English striker (lololololol) doesn't score enough then if my opponents can score 5 from 15 SC, 4 from 9 SC, etc. and in most of these matches I have more shots but half are off target and those on target are saved. It's driving me up the wall because I know my strikers aren't that bad!

My problem is a lack of speed in my squad, as a consequence, I've gone from doing ok, to being slaughtered.

On the one hand, my team shouldn't be doing well because of the speed issue, but it would have been nicer if they'd gradually raised speed's importance rather than increasing it just like that.

The problem is that anybody basing their squad on a youth policy cannot train everything; long term, means super players won't occur as much, certainly, we'll see a lot more "average" players, say 5 for each skill, coming around, wwhich is how it should be.

Just means smaller nations are now disadvantaged in national games - lack of top quality players means you have to grow your own; getting speed up to 7 means you won't get passing up to 7 or stamina up to 7... as a consequence, I'm afraid it plays into the hands of bigger clubs.

The only way it'll work is when player retirements happen, to create a more level playnig field.

Well it happened again today with my strikers...0-0 with some Swedish team at home. 8-2 SC to me and I think my shooting accuracy in that match will be about 35% from about 20 or so shots. 70% of my shots were from close range and a massive majority of them missed the target by a mile.

This is getting stupid now... drew my cup game 4-4 from 19-9 SC. Also lost 2-5 from 8-11 SC. Pretty much every match in the past couple of days and it's driving me up the wall!

Seriously, without Lenard High, you got caught out on the break so much it wasn't funny. And my strikers have been fairly clinical of late...

Chris, it could be your defenders that are not performing, try reconfiguring the tactic. As it seems since the new sim release, you are getting killed despite equal SC's

I'm not sure what the problem is so it's frustrating. I need to watch a lot of my matches to look for a common pattern when I get the time... maybe it is the defence. Maybe the opposition is getting too many easy 1-on-1 situations?

Without High I'd have my 3 speed ex-youth in defence Only half as fast. I might try using more defensive players again.
