The Red Devil
Joined Rennes at the start of the Winter transfer window for £1.3m(€2m), bargain. Came on as a sub against England and made an impact, he was very impressive. Scored a freekick against Portugal(goalkeeping blunder).

Player Data
Date of birth: 24.08.1982
Current Club: Stade Rennais FC
Position: Central midfielder, Attacking midfielder

National team
Källström was first called into the Sweden fold after the 2002 FIFA World Cup for a friendly against Russia, and for a time juggled senior and Under-21 duties. In November 2003, for example, he returned to the youth ranks to score in the 3-1 aggregate victory against Spain which guaranteed the Swedes one of eight places in the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals.

UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying
He had made three substitute appearances by the time he started his first qualifier against San Marino. Källström struck his only goal of the campaign against the same opponents in September 2003, a penalty.

Club
Källström made a considerable impression for BK Häcken following his first outings in 1999. Two seasons later he averaged a goal every three games, not enough to save Häcken from the drop.

2001: Several European clubs had shown an interest in Källström and Häcken turned down a €1.8m offer from Dutch outfit SC Heerenveen before selling him to Djurgårdens IF that December for €1.35m. The 19-year-old signed a five-year deal, his first professional contract, and his form helped Djurgården to the Allsvenskan title in both 2002 - their first championship since 1966 - and 2003 when he was the league's second-top scorer with 14 goals.

2003/04: Agreed a €2m switch to Stade Rennais FC, penning a three-and-a-half year contract with the French club.

He would be a player I would like to see in United. Massive potential. Massive

All-time CM wonder. Anyone who has played Championship Manager would have looked at him

Hmmm, for me it's far too arrogant CM legend. Never passes, always long shots.

He scored some times, but still......

He will probably start for Sweden the first game in EC.
Ha have a battle against Anders Svensson of Southampton on that spot in the Swedish NT.
But Anders has not play good last 3 NT-games and will start on the bench.

Before he join Renne he played 2 seasons with Djurgårdens IF, and won the league both times.
He was born in Gothenburg and his first club was BK Häcken, a div 1 club in Sweden.
