Training Suprise

nah he needs at least 5 stamina first, 6 in each would be ideal though ofc ;)

get him onto 5 stamina and he should make the squad i think, will need to check though.

anyway, monday and tuesday sees two balls:

ball in stamina. going to get him to 5/5 each before training elsewhere.

same with this guy. only 16 and just got his 4th stamina ball, not too long since his 4th speed ball. i think it's the second stamina ball he's gained since i got him last season.

by around this time next season, he should have 5/5 speed/stamina at 17-y/o and i will work on passing, intel, bctrl, etc. fairly promising.

Speed ball for a 20 year old I bought. I'm going to get him to 3 in speed and stamina then work on other skills. :)

Nice markus. Oh and mutt, I didn't even know there was a Starship Troopers 2 :D A straight to DVD release, heh....must be really bad.

Anyway my Swede Albin Dahlberg gained his second ball in as many weeks. This time his 4th for cross balls. He's now going onto passing to get his second.

A player who I bought around christmas time as a midfielder is turning out to be a striker.

Just got his 7th shooting ball, already has 7 in speed (maxed) and 6 in passing, but only 3 in Ball Control and 2 in Stamina. He's only 23.

Going to see if he's maxed in shooting first then what do you think?

Well he isn't maxed in shooting so i'm tempted to get him his 8th ball, should get it by the first couple of weeks of next season. It'll take 6 or 7 weeks to get his 4th ball control ball and about the same for Stamina. I can't decide what to do!!!!!

Bought for £1,103 with three balls:

How much d'ya reckon he'd sell for?

Also a youth got his 4th shooting ball, another with the same amount got his 3rd stamina ball to go with 3 speed.

Well I have a similar keeper who is just about to get his 7th so I wouldn't buy him but if I were to sell him I'd put him up for 30K. Would encourage a lot of bids and get everyone to keep pushing the price up :)

Putting people up like that for 30k usually gives the impression that they are maxed in their main skill, so they never bother to ask before bidding - they just don't bid. With that 7th ball he'd be worth about 230-250k? Put him up for at least his value, people would bid for somone like him given the age.

Does anyone really understand keeper values???

My rough view on market value with keeping balls (for age <25). Is this about right?

3 balls 0-10k
4 balls 10-50k
5 balls 120k-160k
6 balls 170k-200k
7 balls 230k-275k
8 balls 400k-700k
9 balls 700k-1m
10 balls ???

Therefore best return is on buying 3 or 4 balls (not maxed) and selling at 5

OR selling at 8+ (but not many make it there).

Can't see the value in training from 5 through to 7 balls really (unless you think they will make it to 8).

Don't post in the transfer forums then? :S

I've done my homework too and I don't think he should go for any less than £200k. I'm not listing him that low Ponte, because it'll be sods law the servers will bugger up ;)

Buying at 3 balls is good, after you've trained up for ages it's just 20% taxes, same as an ex-youth you've trained for seasons. You do run the risk they'll max at 5 or even 4 if unlucky, but a couple of grand or so is nothing tbh.

Anyway look at this, 5 tackling:

Back to speed now methinks ... then maybe cross balls.

Well I just sold a 6 ball, 20yr old keeper for £231,500

put him up for 200K (value was 180K)

But he was maxed so very happy. Especially as he went to a swede

If they try and sell him back to england in next week, steer clear of Hardy Newton ;)
