Lol, can't frikin understand why people say Seria A is a "defensive league"...

2003/2004

EPL = 1011 goals
Seria = 816 goals

EPL played 40 more matches (38 weeks vs 34 weeks).

You look too much at the score. ;)

It's the style of play that makes it seem so defensive. :)

SerieA - too sophisticated and refined for its own good sometimes that it can lead some ardent EPL fans or noobs to think that it's too defensive...the fact is, you've got some SerieB clubs who ooze of more class and who possess way more technical ability than some mid-table EPL clubs...therein lies the disparity in quality between the SerieA and the EPL

the rest can go f uck themselves is what, I ain't gonna be bothered to be rating 'em......seriously, though

La Liga-fantastic league that's almost on par with the SerieA in most categories except for maybe that bias I have for Italian football that they can't really control

EPL (Notice the gap)
Ligue 1 (Notice the closeness)

La Liga - On balance the best in terms of entertainment and technical ability

Serie A - Technically the best league in the world full stop.

EPL - High on entertainment low on technic - but can attract big name players

French league - Technically better than EPL - but losing too many big name players to other leagues

Bundesliga - technically as good as EPL - but doesn't attract enough world class players.

Since you follow the Spanish league a lot more than I do, can you explain to me how Valencia, a team with few internation superstars, could possibly get first place over Barca, Deportivo, and Madrid? Those teams, especially Real Madrid with Ronaldo, Raul, Figo, Beckham, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, and Casillas, have lots of big name internationals yet they are behind Valencia. I don't understand why.
because you win games with a team not with names

I just rank in terms of excitement. You never know what's going to happen in an EPL game... but you can usually predict the lower **** teams of both La Liga and Serie A are going to lose most of them time.

1. EPL
2. die Bundesliga
3. La Liga
4. Dutch
5. Serie A

Seria A and La Liga are more technical, there is more skill involved.
The EPL is not as technical, but there is a very technical team, Arsenal, they are very technical, that's why they didn't lose a game in the Premiership, but in Europe things were not as easy.

Another factor: which league do players WANT to play in? No one says the EPL. NO ONE. It's always Spain or Italy.

I belive Spain to be more exciting than England, there is more Spectacle in Spain.

Seria A is not defensive football. The ball is held longer in Italy (more technical) it isn't run and gun like the EPL.

I'm going to say it. The only reason anyone goes to the EPL is money. No one desires to go to England. To test their level of skill, they want to go to the more technical leagues.

And in my opinion, the EPL is not near as exciting to me as La Liga or Seria A. If I want to watch a lot of running back and forth, I'll watch some basketball.

Small teams beat the big ones in Italy all the time. Look at the weekly results in Seria A. It happens almost every week. Why? Because it is un-predictable. Don't say that the big teams always win. What about the EPL. Three team runaway. Italy had a three team runawy but then JUVENTUS was beaten by Lecce. The next week INTER was beaten by Lecce. In Italy they say "Il pallone é rotondo" (The ball is round") referencing to a saying the world is round, meaning that you can never know what will happen.
Il pallone é rotondo. You never can know who will win in Seria A. That's why every game is exciting. Everygame is worth more than just three points, because every game can be lost just as easily as won.

Lol why are people saying that the EPL is low on technical ability when the probably best player in the world plays there.
