9 players of Leisester City arrested in Spain

Y es I cn confirm that they are 2 of the players, I have seen both of them being put into the back of a polica van on the news,

and there iunitials are given, PD and MSE

remarkable this kind of things always seem to happen to players for clubs in the EPL

but of course nothing has been proved yet who knows maybe the German girls are just trying to get some money off the players or something but it seems like its pretty serious.

The club Leicester should not be blamed in any way though if this story appears to be true, players only, this is something a club cannot prevent from happening of course. But this will affect the atmosphere within the club and looking at the position of Leicester in the EPL this might be very bad for them, but it also might encourage them to fight even harder to stay in the league, personally i hope that will be true

thanks for your support lars, hopefully a lot of other people see it that wya, however i can't helpmthinking that the team will be made to suffer by a number of people, which I obviously feel will be out of order

Please don;t start criticising the players, they are still claiming their innocence,

sportgaming, yes, they are innocent until proven otherwise, but I don't think the spanish police would risk arresting 3 known players without having strong evidence behind it. If wrong, they will certainly receive some heavy backlash from the english media and probably a huge compensation lawsuit from the players accused.

Apparently, the players were having a party in the hotel and thnigs got out of control. I don't know how it works in England, but whatever happens when a club's training for some time in a resort or hotel is usually the club's responsibility.
Nothing against your club, though. I respect you, so I kind of respect Leicester bcs of that, but if the players are proven guilty seems fair that responsibilities are fully investigated.

the club have already admitted that there will be an internal enquiry, but 1st of all are putting all there efforts in legally clearing the name of all players involved


it looks likely that action will be taken against all 9 players for enabling themselves to be in this situation

ad yes the police would arrest the players,

they originally arrested 9 of them, but the other 6 have now more or less been cleared

Perhaps just someone doesn´t like Leicester. Perhaps someone went to the police, just because he hates them. Or someone wants to have some money.

From what I read in that spanish newspaper, Matt Elliot, Lilian Nalis and James Scowcroft weren't cleared up, but will probably be charged with rather minor crimes...

well, apparently that was what was expected to happen to Steffan Freund when he was released on bail


but he has now been cleared of all charges, i think it is likely to happen the same way with the others already released

elliot and nalis are also proved innocent ...scowcroft has to pay 20000£ fine and visit spanish consulat twice a month

somehow when i 1st read the news i knew gillespie and sinclair would be involved in it.....the other names just amaze me and dickov and elliott was the biggest shock actually......well i dunno teir background that well really, but yes both are family men and over their 30s ....

this is not fun being a leicester fan and all

so i'm not the only city follwoer around the forums.

Scowcroft was 20k euros, and was the bail fee, not a fine. He has not been found guilty of anything as have none of the other players

yeah i meant bail...sorry about that and i knew i shouldve just write 20000 .....

but something in his case isnt really rite if he has to pay that amount of money to be free and visit the consulat twice a month.....

i actually thought that gillespie had let all the troublemaking behind him....as for sinclair i know he is a bit of a wild one.....cheating on his wife and drink driving etc....the thing after wtc

Apparently they were drunk, i read in one paper. What an fantastic excuse!!!
