What will happen to Parma?

Latest news from Italy:
1. Parma's general manager Nebiolo has told the press that Parmalat should convert some credits they have towards Parma A.C. in capital. They can't actually pay out any money, but they do can convert the credits. If this does not happen by December 31st, the club will be liquidated.
The amount of new capital needed is of 77 million Euros.
2. Nakata is going to Bologna on loan for the rest of the season. Only details remain to be discussed.
3. Ferrari, Bonera and Gilardino are heavily linked with Juve by Parma local media. Of these, Ferrari will move in June, Gilardino will probably move in June and then remain at Parma on loan for the 2004/2005 season, Bonera will probably move to Juve, but could also go to Milan as he's an AC Milan fan.
4. Frey has already been sold to Chelsea for the 2004/2005 season for an undisclosed fee.
5. In January, Seric will move to Brescia, with Pisano coming to Parma. This will probably be a loan exchange deal.
6. In June, Adriano will move to Inter for a compensation of 18 million Euros.

I repeat, these are not simple rumours but news from Parma local media.

Also, the law that allows Italian clubs to pay extraordinary decreases of value of the players in the accounting in 10 years instead of 1 has already been applied to Parma's accounting, so that's not the point.

Thats BS, Juve get linked with 3 players now while we would have to wait till June for Adriano? Psyche that... talks are in process (according to other sites) and its possible Inter may buy back their half and bring back Adriano in January... come on Branca, Oriali, Moretti, sign him NOW! I also wouldn't mind us getting Bonera, Frey, Ferrari, or Gilardino either.... though I doubt ex-Inter players Frey and Ferrari would come back... but you never know (H)

Flame me if you want, but i've heard that Berlusconi might be interested in saving Parma. I've heard this while i was watching some sports show here in Brazil, i think it was on ESPN Brasil or ESPN.

I think Parma owners should take a trip to russia and see if anyone's interested in buying a club.................................

IMO Roman should have bought multiple soccer clubs instead of one. 1 in every major Euro league. Now that would be a monopoly (H)

Milan appear to have won the race to land Monaco forward Dado Prso, according to the Croatian international's agent.
Premiership trio Portsmouth, Fulham and Newcastle United, along with Scottish champions Rangers, have all been keeping tabs on the 29-year-old.

But they have been pipped in the race for Prso's signature by reigning European champions Milan, who are due to wrap up the swoop in January's transfer window.

Prso is out of contract at the end of the season and Monaco are cashing in on the Balkan hit-man, who has scored five times in the UEFA Champions League this season, in the New Year.

According to Prso's representative Marko Naletelic, discussions with Milan have progressed smoothly and the deal could signal the departure from San Siro of Danish attacker Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Naletelic is not anticipating any complications in finalising the transfer but did reveal Milan's fellow Serie A side Sampdoria are Prso's back-up option.

"Prso will be going to Italy," Naletelic told Croatian daily Sportske Novosti.

"The negotiations with Milan are in process as the Italian side are very keen to get their hands on him.

"Still, we can say that the possibility of completing the transfer is very, very high.

"The second option will be Sampdoria but only if the negotiations with Milan fail."

CANT FREAKIN BELIEVE IT!!

I bet Inzaghi is going to have a little chat with him when he arrives :funny:

Anyway this guy is overrated as hell, not young, what would Milan want him for?

Prso has confirmed that he'll be staying at Monaco at least until the summer. He prefers to be a star in France rather than to sit on the bench at Milan.

Better for us :)

Parma must raise £25 million in Janurary sales!!

Parma have agreed on £25 mill in janurary to be raised according to Gazzetta dello Sport:

Parma must raise a cool £25 million from players sales in January to keep the club afloat for the rest of the season. The figure was settled on after talks with creditors this week. The collapse of Parmalat has left Parma in a precarious financial position and major sales are a certainty next month.

Adriano is already on his way back to Inter Milan, though he will play out the rest of the season with Parma.

Hidetoshi Nakata will be offloaded to Bologna, while Chelsea are being encouraged to bid for French goalkeeper Sebastien Frey.

Juventus will return to the negotiating table for three Parma youngsters - Alberto Gilardino, Daniele Bonera and Matteo Ferrari.

Lazio and Inter Milan are interested in midfielder Marco Marchionni, Chievo want Alessandro Rosina and Roberto Barone is being chased by Sampdoria and Udinese.

on uefa.com, it says Manuele Blasi has tested positive for nandrolone, and now thats a 6 month ban, although hes on loan from Juve, thats still Not good.
Goalkeeper Vincenzo Sicignano and midfield player Jorge Bolano have been loaned out to US Lecce until the end of the season, while Italian Under-21 international Marco Amelia will come to Parma that means its likely Frey is on the way out.

I cant see Arsenal getting him Chelsea will out bid us unless he says he'll go to Arsenal an no where else. The other thing is that we have Mad Jens who will probably last another season or three

Yea I see what ever Arsenal offer, Chelsea will double it. But even tho you have Jens, we have Carlo. Its a tricky situation, but whoever buys him will prolly loan him back to Parma until the end of the season
