How accurate are the lower teams?

Yellow'n'Green

Hi,
I was wondering if someone with the game and with some knowledge of lower league teams could say how accurate they are? Are the kits, players, line-ups and ratings realistic, or are they just pure fantasy. I kinda get the feeling EA have just put the lower teams in to sell more games, and not really bothered with detail. But without the game, I don't know!!

Thanks

Yep, in the game Ward is still listed as being with Bradford...

Also, from the Sunderland squad, there's a few players missing. Michael Gray is listed as a Celtic player (despite him only being there on loan), whilst Colin Healy is missing (a summer signing from Celtic). Sunderland's also missing John Oster, Michael Ingham, Jeff Whitley and Ben Clark from our first team squad (with the likes of recent arrivals Alan Quinn and Tommy Smith not included either). Finally - Tom Peeters is listed as a midfielder for us, even though we released him a few weeks back (okay okay, I know about deadlines, but the guy never played for Sunderland!)

Just a note on the star ratings though - invariably, you're going to get some problems in the lower leagues, especially as almost everyone is rated 1/2 to one star. So for argument (I don't know their ratings off the top of my head), Darlington are rated as being slightly worse than Hull, even though they're at the opposite end of Division 3 in real life...

You couldnt be more wrong. EVERYTHING is authentic!

I thought there'd be a problem with the ratings. They really needed it out of 20 rather than 10, because there's not going to be enough variation in the lower leagues.

As for the line-ups, I was expecting some of that because of the deadline (which is usually 31 August or something). But with a PC version it's not too bad because somebody will probably release a patch for it.

But are the players that are there fairly accurate?

Thanks

you couldnt be more ignorant........ea is still focusing on the big teams i bet all but 2 or 3 players in the lower divicions have a real face and not a generic face, so not everything is "authentic"

ive noticed that alot of the squad no.s are wrong in lower divs, grimsby dont have names on back of shirts for some reason, and Lee Trundle isnt in the Swansea team

The kits are all spot on to be honest although some may be a season out of date which cant be helped if they were changed this season.

My team (swansea) is fairly accurate in that most of the players are there........none of them look like the real players except by chance as this would be too much of a project obviously.

However having the players in their correct skin colour would have been nice ie Leon Britton

Oster was sent off today. Are these missing guys on other teams or missing entirely?

At a guess, I'd say Oster wasn't included in the team because he wasn't in the squad last season much.

Which doesn't really explain how the likes of Thomas Myhre made it in, despite him not playing for the first team in over a year...
