What difficulty do you guys play at?

if playing humans is not predictable, then you have to pay more attention which in turn will make you better, because you can not do the same thing over and over

if u want to beat the game, win on the difficulties its a matter of working out the strategies- thats all u need

online play will humble even the greatest player...i've never played fifa online but i've played many an online football game...can't wait till fifa 2004 comes out for ps2

best way to play games online is have a forum with a strong following then you know who quits and who doesn't...or with ea sports online for ps2 there will be a buddy list

games are 100 times better when you can play them online b/c beating the computer on world class 5-0 while playing with a bad team just isn't fun any more

Difficulty Levels

Many interesting points raised here but there are two significant variables at work here:

1 - Assuming that not everyone has the same gameplay setting installed, it would be impossible to compare the abilities of say,
someone playing at World Class level with Sameer's 5.X patch and someone playing at Pro Class level with Sameer's 6.X patch.

2 - It seems probable that it would be easier to beat Maribor with Real Madrid than say, Hannover 96

It might be just me, but I think the half length goes some way towards determining the overall difficulty of the game ? I find that pro level at 6 mins each way is tougher than 4 min each way

Personally, I use Sameer's 6.4 gameplay patch on Pro level with 4 min halves. I can draw most of the time against the better teams but don't win that often. The CPU has an evil disposition to score on 45 and 90 mins regardless of what I try to do to prevent it.
Well-timed, accurately weighted through balls are the key to the game I think plus you normally always score if you can get into a good crossing position.

I noticed that too, but I suppose if you were 0-0 or 1-nil down at half time, you'd probably attack and defend to the best of your abilities too.

i play at world class level as well and it is easy. i can beat real madrid comfortably with one of those poor k-league teams.

well I have xbox but i always had trouble winning at world class level and sometimes even pro level, well not too long ago I realized that all I had to do is change the camera view cuase in the past I really had no idea where the players around me were and everything so now I just use I think "sideline" view not sure though but I can finally pass it to the open guy where he can score and I can see if a defender is comming at me... but yea it was pain in the ass before and I got extremly pissed and was thinkin about throwing that game outa window cause for every goal I scored they scored 2.

sideline view is the easiest to play with!!!

i've never played the pc version but i feel i'm missing out with all the talk of gameplay patches...how much harder do they make the game?

i always play world class with a 4minute half. my highest win was 12:0 with chelsea against man utd. usually i win like 5: 6:0 4:0 4:2 but there are also some mathces i win with nearly 10 or 11 goals per match (on worldclass)

I play on worldclass too, I play with Juventus, Inter Milan, and AC Milan and win by 10 on 6 minute halves

I play the game 1 hour a day, 7 days a week, and I play world class too. I can use Maccabi-Haifa ( without any editor ) to win Real Madrid or Man Utd 6-0 or 7-0

always world class and almost always winning...sometimes salzburg just can't seem to make it past a draw in san siro when i'm starting with the slow attack build-up...kinda like benfica but with higher intelligence levels...(AcillateM should get a kick out of this one...)

the real trick is playing with terrible teams...and beating the big ones in their own turf...

but the game will never become "old" due to the wonderful job all the kitmakers and patchmakers are doing out there...

i'm already using it...forgot to mention...
it actually gets pretty easy once you've mastered the through passes and the headers...
let's hope the 2004 edition brings us a more troublesome AI...i have a good feeling about it...
