I s there a difference?

Is there a difference between the way the player performs if they are an striker or an Forward?

I think a forward means they are can play in midfield aswell....

It hasnt made a difference on my game. Bellamy (F LC) scored double the goals of Shearer (SC)

a Forward is more of a player who will drop back and play more with the midfield that a striker will, for example, if midfielders are having problems finding an outlet, a forward is more likely to drop back and offer assistance with the striker staying upfront incase an opportunity arrises.

Nah cos he is far more skillful as a striker than as an AMC.

I'll be playing D'Allesandro on the wing then for Sporting, Jofre(I signed him from Barcelona has been excellent, but he lacks in some area's, he is a good buy for £3.8m, but I needed someone better, like Andres D'Allesandro who cost me alot of money.

Jofre had 20 for - Crossing, Dribbling, Pace, Acceleration.

His work-rate, flair, decisions, strength, teamwork was not very good, and his corners sucked lol, good enough for Portuguese Football though.

instead of startin' a whole new thread i might as well take over this thread and ask u pros a few questions. okay well, i just got cm4 yesterday (yeah i know it's sad that i just found out about it) and i can't seem to buy ANYONE for a reasonable price in the transfer market. i managed to lure mateja kezman into having talks but then he rejected my contract like 5 times saying that the contract was too long for him or something. WTF AM I DOING WRONG? any assistance would be warmly appreciated..

Don't look for players that are out of your reach. Like if your team is used to struggling against relegation the most valuable player would be about £5m but you'd be better buying a few youth players and then waiting for them to become very expensive.

Don't try and tie players down to contracts longer than 3 years really.

see that's the thing.. i'm playing with man utd and i'm nowhere near getting relegated but no one wants to come to my team. i'm even having trouble buying cristiano ronaldo from sporting - they want like an outrageous amount around 20 mil. for a 17 yr old player! grr, and i just got a message that the transfer deadline ends next wk..................

Jofre was a excellent signing, running through the defence asif he was the invisible man, his corners could be better, then I'd choose him over Giggs, Duff etc in any game for the left wing, and bargain of under £4m from Barcelona B Team(Well Barcelona Actually, but he's in the B team).



I decided to have Jofre as a left-winger instead of D'Allesandro, he'll go upfront with Ronaldo and Mido.

To be completly honest I've never brought D'Alessandro on CM but I've heard really good things about him. I might try him for a Italian team on 01-02

m3th0d, try looking for younger, cheap talent with potential such as Gilberto Martinez. The only way you'll get fanous players for acceptable prices is in certain situations. Keep your eyes open, if a team such as Arsenal signs a new stiker for example, it is likely that a current striker will stop being played and become unhappy, then you can pick him up cheap. Always look for unhappy players or players that teams dont need.

best idea is to have a lot of players on your shortlist, then, when the time comes (often at the end of the season), they will offer you them, sometimes for a really good deal.

I just picked Defoe up for 385,000.

Good old Martinez, in my third season I got offered: Zidane, Figo and Guti for him, I rejected it......ofcourse

also when i look at my profile it shows that i have poor scores at working with youngsters and discipline. what can i do to raise these scores?
