What Graphics Card for 2004?

Hey anybody know what graphics card will be the best for Fifa 2004?...I want to go buy a new card so that it would be compatible with that game and some of the newer releases...I don't want to end up in the same problem of not seeing numbers on players jerseys etc..and the Good Lord alone knows what EA will try and screw us up with next.

well.. if you have the money I would suggest going for a top of the line card.. that way you wouldnt have to worry for a few yrs

I suggest you get yourself a Radeon 9500 PRO. I have it myself, and it's a dream I tell you. If overclocked properly, iot can perform as wel as the 9700 without AA and AT on. only difference is half of 9700s bus. It's cheap now, and it certainly is worth the cash

I have the Radeon 9500 Non-pro. You can soft patch it so it runs the same as the 9700 (it's basically the exact same card). It should run Fifa for a few years. :)

Errr ... no you can't. Ati have discovered this and have pulled back all the moddable cards. That means there are or rathere were two kinds of Radeon 9500, the ones with 4 RAM chips in a row, and those with two horizontally and two vertically. The last model was soft moddable to 9700, but it has been pulled back from market, whihc means you can only overclock the other to a Radeon 9500 PRO ... IF you're lucky. The PRO edition costs almost the same, so I can only point a finger in that direction

The best card out there hands down is the Radeon 9700 All in wonder ...

people get caught up in words, they read that the Nvida is "faster" well yes it is, but not by much at all, and the radeon is soooo damn fast too that it u dont really need that extra speed,

the radeon 9700 All in wonder comes with everything u can dream off, it has the speed of a 9700, and it comes with EVERYTHING media on it, u can connect everything and anyting to it, VCR's Camcorders, TV HDTV, EVERYthing!! and it comes with industry leadind DVD playback :D

by the way thats the card i got, its a dream it really is!!

i would beg to differ :P

as the 9700 all in wonder has gone down in price, and its not just a gaming card, its an everything card. the Pro 9800 just used for games... nothing else

the best card for its price is the radeon 9700. Here in the netherlands it costs 190euros. And you can play any game with it. And you can easily overclock it to a 9700pro.

the other cards like ati9800 and nvidia5800 etc are faster yes, but way too expensive. I would never spend 500euros for a video card.
