Post here to say to EA: Please don't make a useless CC 4 FIFA 2004!!

I couldn't agree more, I have persevered with CC1.0, CC1.5 and now CC1.6 and still get errors. I do not understand why EA Sports cannot deliver the functionality of FIFA 99 which enabled maintenance built into the original game.

It is important to keep a sense of realism, to be able to reflect new players (particularly those transferred from the Nationwide leagues) and to be able to action transfers during the course of the season.

If EA Sports don't get their act together soon I for one shall boycott FIFA 2004 on principle.

The CC works for me...I currently have a package installed that has 51 new teams and over 1100 created players.

The .pkg took 47 minutes to install.

Every created team reflects the lineup I set for them in the CC and all the squad numbers remain as how I set them also.

The only 2 problems I can find are that chants for CC teams do not remain selected and selecting a specific stadium does not work for a CC team (though both functions work fine for teams from the original database).

Based on what you have achieved (in which version of cc?) I am going to give CC one more try, back to basic, fully uninstall and give it a whirl. If it fails this time then someone needs to clarify what I may be doing wrong.

I'm using the latest version of the CC, 1.6.

I build my packages carefully but I touch on every feature in the process. Usually I create clubs like all the FA Div 1 clubs in one package and then import them into my "build" package which I install and play with until I add a few more teams or finish my competition.

I've also created competitions (leagues, knock-out) and the only annoyance I can find there is that you can't randomize the groups so you're always facing the same club in the first round.

If the CC still doesn't work, please post your PC specs.

Good luck.

Chau Le will be in charge of the development of the Creation Centre 2004 from day one. You can be assured of a quality program.

I am sorry to disagree but if you think that CC is a quality program then why are there so many of us who cannot get the damn thing to do what it is supposed to do.

Why can't EA Sports deliver the same built in functionality that was available in FIFA 99, that did not rely on this separate package that appears to be so poorly inconsistent.

There may well be additional functionality in Creation Centre but if it doesn't do the basics then what good is it with all the whistles and bells.

I am so frustrated with the fact that I cannot keep a sense of realism about FIFA 2003 because you cannot keep the game upto date with new players from abroad and those who come through the youth teams and from lower divisions.

You may as well stick with an older version of FIFA if realism did not matter.

Why can't EA Sports maintain an online roster that we can all subscribe to, to keep the game as interesting as day one. I would even be prepared to pay for this support!

I am aware of all the activity on Soccer Gaming, but it I have never downloaded any patches as I do not wish to corrupt my copy of FIFA 2003.

I am fortunate that I have 2 pcs, and have been trialing CC on my 2nd pc so as not to spoil my current FIFA setup.

You can tell from all my posts on this subject that I am not a fan of CC, not as a matter of principle but more because I cannot understand how badly this CC is behaving. How many months is it since CC1.0 has been in the public domain, just look at the volume of queries from people like myself, if it were an equal number of plaudits and praises then Chau Le could be rightly proud.

Right now I see little point in buying FIFA 2004 if I cannot maintain the game with the latest players and transfers.

I do not consider myself either a tecky or a thicky, but somewhere in between, I can build my own pcs, so I am capable of understanding more than just the basics.

Let's see a better delivery than seen so far!

I've said it once and I'll say it again... EA should have asked Chau to program the CC from the start - that way instead of a useless editor we would have had something that would resemble a 2003 edition of FEd...

Anyway now that Chau will be making the new CC for FIFA 2004, I think it'll be 1,000x better than that 'Intelligent Games' effort...

If you're having problems getting the CC to work please post your system information (i.e. OS, processor, video card, sound card, motherboard, etc.).

CC 1.6 is giving me fits (1.0 worked ok, I guess).

Win2k, Celeron 1.8 gig, 512 ram

Uninstalled everything (the game, the CC, the CC art program). 1.0 works just fine, but the instant I unzip the 1.6 files, I start having problems. Can start up CC in 1.6, but get errors whenever I actually DO anything (click on a league, team, player, anything). Is there some kind of obscure ritual that must be observed, including importing stuff?

The specifics of what I did:

1. Uninstalled all 3 Fifa 2003 programs
2. Reinstalled the game.
3. Reinstalled CC 1.0
4. Reinstalled CC Art
5. Imported Data Into CC
6. Went into CC, and everything seems FINE
7. Unzipped the CC 1.6 files
8. Went into CC, and clicking on a league seems ok.
9. Click on ANY team and get:

"Run-time error '3265':
Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal"

Only choice is to click "OK", which closes the CC down.

At this point, I try to re-import Fifa data, but get "Creation Centre's internal database is missing or corrupt. Please re-install Creation Centre." With only "OK" as a choice.

So...any help?

How big is YOUR penis?
Oh EA`s professional staffs are all pricks !!!!!

Here`s what they should do :
Get Hercules to make a database editor, Ariel to create some editing utilities and pay them well. THAT`S ALL !!!! We all then be happy with it !!!!!!

But I guess it won`t happen anyway, you know, cos` they`re all too cocky and ignorant ( EA staffs I mean, not Hercules and Ariel, they both great :rockman: ).

Hey I know, maybe in the next 2004 CC, EA will provide a vampire`s teeth to edit !!!! :crazyboy: Then suddenly everytime we play FIFA, the game crashes to desktop lookin` for an installed Castlevania or Blood Omen . . .

The development team, I don't think should be blamed, since it's not their fault, as they didnt make the CC, it's some other company called Intelligent Games (ironic name...)

So, the ones really to be blamed for such a mess are the fat cats at the top of the chain in EA, who made the decision to give the CC project to a separate company...that's just stupid.

But it would be a lot better next year, since Chau would start on the CC right at the beginning, instead of picking it up half way through. If I were Chau, I would have NEVER agreed to pick up the CC project half way through, since you can then get a lot of compatibility probs, since the earlier version aren't made by yourself. And then you have to take all the crap that you don't deserve, which is what Chau is getting a bit now.

Just look at the FEd series in past FIFAs, they were great, and if Chau is allowed to simply make an editor, and not a tool which CREATES dbi files, then the CC can be good next year.

So...no ideas? I know it's only been a day, but I'm curious.

Do I "NEED" to import FIFA 2003 into the CC? If not, what does that do, exactly? If so, does it matter that I imported right after installing 1.0, then installed the 1.6 files?

Well said Herc :)

I tell ya what is very disturbing... the comments posted by arseholes in the Downloads Centre about the Creation Centre 1.5 Update.

Some of the things they've said about Chau on there is an absolute disgrace. Will those pricks ever learn that the fault is that of Intelligent Games (put the prefix "un" wherever you like)???

I hope EA let him make an editor like the old FEd's... :)
