    The Manchester City Transfer Thread

I can't see MLS and the Galaxy giving him up for less than $12-15 million (£8-10 million), and I'm not sure he's worth that much. But this is Man City we're talking about, money is not an issue.

    I blame scapegoating. It's scapegoating's fault entirely.

    North American Soccer 2010 [R]

Well, Landon Donovan is now a legitimate star athlete: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/soccer/world-cup-2010/06/26/donovan.tabloid/index.html On the positive side, he should have no problem paying child support with that Man City money.

WC Matchday 17: [GER v ENG] + [ARG v MEX]

I quite enjoyed that. Heinze's a total douche.

Man, I wanted to see Mexico lose, but not like that. It would be a shame if they go out like this.

Argentina humiliating Mexico is about the only thing that could cheer me up after that US loss. But it's not going to happen, it will be a close game.

WC Matchday 16: [URU v KOR] + [USA v GHA]

Let's see how Chuck Deezy recovers from that car crash. His strongest attribute was speed, and I'm anxious to see if that speed will still be there once he hits the field. Pearce is pretty bad at the international level, and he'll be 30 by 2014. I hope someone better comes along.

Howard Spector Gonzalez Onyewu ?????? (someone awful, no doubt, although Bornstein played the best game I've ever seen him play today) Donovan Bradley Edu Feilhaber Altidore Dempsey I don't see it being very different. Some young players will undoubtedly emerge, but for now I'm not...

Just not good enough in the end. Gyan's goal was opportunistic, but he f*cking buried that sh*t. I can't see anyone on our team doing what he did in that situation.

You were saying? (H) He plays on the wing for his club team, he should be getting better at it. Much better second half from the US, and like I said, this is the line-up they should have started with. Come on, boys! You can do it!
