    3 months was an exaggeration, but it still didn't take too long for it to go from the best computer in my class group to one of the lesser systems.. this was about 15 years ago though when the upgrades were really rapid, faster and faster processors constantly etc...

    just started the 2nd Lord of the Rings book, and also Game of thrones... only have time to read when at work and the chick I work with leaves, but decent so far, and LOTR is way different in the books, would have been better, and way longer, more following the books. very nice
